The Unhealer (2020)

Surprisingly good

While the entire movie suffers from a serious infection of overacting, there's no denying the originality of the storyline. Even though the "burial ground" troupe is overplayed at this point in cinematic history, the Pet Cemetery vibe works in this film in an unexpected way. Vengeance, intrigue, love, coming of age... all in a ball of teenage angst and small town foolishness. I'd like to see more from Elijah Nelson, as his character had the best development with the least forced emotion. At times I felt myself in his shoes, empathizing with "Kelly." A word of caution for this who don't care for blood, there are a few scenes that might leave you cringing.
