- film looks good, it's stylish and has flair. The location is captured well. Production design, the soundtrack and tech specs are pretty polished.
- interesting visual flair of course coming from Doug Liman. Got a rawness to the direction.
- Billy Magnussen puts in a solid supporting turn.
CONS
- script is a mess and a real snooze. Lots of ideas and opportunities missed.
- Jake Gyllenhaal is wasted bad. Jake is about the charm. He's just mopey and grumpy. Character is unpleasant and confusing to his motivations.
- the rest of the cast of characters barely register. The females get a really dire showing.
- it's self indulgent long. By like 30 mins long. Why!
