Wonderful series. I didn't see the original, but this was certainly well done . Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman did a great job. Nicole Kidman looked more relaxed and genuine than she has in other recent films, maybe it was because she was in her home country.
I'm a fan of movies based on history, so I appreciated that. It felt like an old movie with more depth and emotion than what's on the screen these days. I hope that there's a subsequent series or a spinoff of this or more movies with a similar feel. I feel like the aboriginal culture is under represented, at least in the United States. There is much that we don't understand and appreciate about their culture, sacrifices and mistreatment. It was nice to see a happy ending for at least one precious child.
