get to the trio sooner
9 May 2023
Witches exist, but most people are clueless to their world. Witchcraft is inherited along family lines. On their 17th birthday, each witch has a ceremony to receive their individual power. Marcus Edge invites the Fairborn Witches to a peace conference which he turns into a massacre with his superior witchcraft. The Council of Fairborn Witches grabs his baby after his Fairborn partner's death. Nathan Byrne (Jay Lycurgo) is that baby who grows up under constant bullying and suspicious monitoring. They fear what he would turn into, but there is also a prophecy that he would kill his father. Annalise O'Brien (Nadia Parkes) is the daughter of clan leader Soul O'Brien (Paul Ready) and she actually likes him. As he approaches his 17th birthday, he escapes with Annalise and help from independent witch Gabriel (Emilien Vekemans).

The first two episodes are a bit slow. It takes a while to build this world. It really needs to open with a big action scene. The perfect scene would be the massacre. I like the bullying, but the first two episodes need to be compressed. They need to get to Gabriel sooner. The trio is the best combination. I like these actors. This has real potential. It is based on a new YA book series. Despite getting good reviews, Netflix cancels this after only one season. I guess it didn't get enough views.
