A parody following a group of teen heroes and a monkey who team up together to each pilot a part of the giant fighting robot Titan Maximum, and to protect the galaxy from evil. For some strange reason as this dvd hung around on my "to watch" pile I had it in my head that this was a puppeteering based satire like Team America, and would feature tropes closer to those of Gerry Anderson. I was quite hyped for that, having only briefly read the back of the box, but was disappointed to realize this was a Seth Green vehicle right in the peak of the Robot Chicken era, and of course produced by the same studios by two of Robot Chicken's head writers. This is to say I was biased towards disliking from the get go, through no fault but my own, but I am personally not a fan of most Seth Green comedy, but its not like he's known to make bad tv show decisions (rip white Horse Tavern). I will give that Robot Chicken had a few hits sure, but after 11 seasons who wouldn't. So if you really like Robot Chicken, you'll likely enjoy this. If features the identical animation stop-motion style, however with recurring characters and a power rangers mock super squad. The jokes are rarely specific to making fun of these style shows, instead being a lot of alcohol, sex, or drug based humour. But again kinda to be expected based on who its from. Only lasting a single short season, at less than 2 hours run time total, if it sounds like your kinda thing, no shame, enjoy it, but I would generally not recommend, was pretty bad.
