Why is anybody giving this Mega-Hack any work? He's destroyed the 'Halloween; franchise. Now, he's destroyed a work of Stephen King's and he's scheduled to destroy 'The Exorcist' and the 'Insidious' franchise next. I know two movies I will be sure to miss.
This could've been a decent movie but the ending is so horrible it makes ALL that came before it, which was mediocre, negligible. Zac Effron and Ryan Kiera Armstrong put in the best performance they can with the rancid material they're given. If the writer had stuck to the REAL story it could've been a decent movie. How could anyone in their right mind green-light this stillborn excuse for a script?
Sure, a girl would go off with a guy who murdered her mother and was responsible for the capture of her father. Sure, she'd burn up her own father just because he told her to. Of course, because we are all 'woke' we must forgive all Native Americans of ALL bad deeds. Charlie is no long the heroine of this movie. She's a parapsychic serial killer. This bears no resemblance, whatsoever, to the novel King wrote. It is an abomination.
