It's a B movie. Watch it expecting that and not a Hollywood blockbuster and this is perfectly watchable. My only real gripe is that the female least who in a deputy lead scientist over seeing a multimillion dollar scientific research institute is played by a 23 year old - the actress isn't bad herself, but it looks like a child is in charge and it makes the inevitable love interest with the male lead (in his 40s) feel extra cringe worthy. The story itself is okay.
