Billy Crystal plays an aging Jewish comedy writer in the initial stages of Creutzfeldt-Jacob Disease, who is trying to hide symptoms of dementia from family and co-workers. Enter Tiffany Haddish, playing the no nonsense, wisecracking Black woman. Occasionally amusing hijinks ensue. A long-festering family conflict plays out in the background.
At nearly two hours running time, the movie drags to a predictable happy ending. Should have been 30 minutes shorter.
