Zombi Child (2019)
1/10
This movie will bore you to sleep...

Oh dear god, this was an abysmal excuse of a movie.

I was given the chance to sit down and watch the 2019 movie "Zombi Child" here in 2020. I read the synopsis, and it seemed like it could be an interesting movie. I mean, with the Haitian approach to the zombies, and not being the archetypical shambling, decomposing flesh eaters. So of course I gave the movie a chance.

And I made it halfway through the ordeal that is known as "Zombi Child", then I simply gave up on the movie out of utter boredom. In the 51 minutes I suffered through, virtually nothing of any interest had happened, and the storyline was just a scrambled and confusing mess, jumping to and from two different stories, with no comprehensive thing to connect the two.

As for the characters in the movie, well I am sure that the actresses and actors that they had in the movie were adequate, but I can honestly say that I didn't care one bit about any of the characters. The characters were essentially just pointless, shallow cardboard cutouts with nothing to offer.

I was bored out of my mind, and I actually drifted off at a point. This movie was just downright horrible. And I have absolutely no interest or intention of returning to finish watching the rest of "Zombi Child".

My rating of this 2019 movie from writer and director Bertrand Bonello lands on a mere one out of ten stars. This movie is not worth the time, effort or money. And it was by no means an interesting addition to the zombie genre - supernatural or not.
