I decided to watch this for two reasons; The first being that it seemed to be a zombie series. The second that it seemed to have a humorous take on the subject. I am a huge fan of Zombieland and Shaun of the Dead, so I was hopeful that this might rise to their ranks.
Instead of Zombies, we have ghoulies, Zombie like adults that still have a semblance of what made them human. We also have a very lord of the flies feel as the different cliques from school have formed their own gangs with their own territories. What we do not have, at least not in the only season available, is an explanation as to why it was just to adults that were affected, and why one of the two adults featured is not affected. They do present an explanation why some of this kids survived, but that only applies to a small group, not every single survivor..
Do not get me wrong though, because I found this enjoyable enough to watch all ten episodes. I enjoy it when characters break the fourth wall and talk to us, and this movie does that quite nicely. Will this be the next TWD or GOT? Never. Will it take up 10 hours of your time, that you will regret losing? Same answer, never. It is worth watching, just do not expect anything ground breaking.
