In an apocalyptic near future, the economy has collapsed. A rust town has been walled off. Death Race has been resurrected to rule the imprisoned population. Weyland has lost control to a new Frankenstein. After a failed attack, they send in a group of new prisoners. This franchise is really into recycling. It knows what it is. It does what it does. It's not trying to be more than an action B-movie. Things are blowing up. There is plenty of leather and trash. It does need more car crashes. It needs to be a constant demolition derby. There is a section in the middle with too little vehicle action and the final Death Race section is mostly out in the open. They need more buildings to drive thru. The franchise is basically in auto drive.
