Following the footsteps of "the best of youth", this magnificent saga tells the story of a family in northern Italy from the late 50' to the 80'.
The acting is impeccable, the themes are visceral, honest and meticulously built during the 7+ hours of the movie. Thorough the narration, I've experienced such deep emotions that left me weeping at times and applauding with joy, pride or awe at others.
The costumes and cinematography are stellar. This is movie making at its highest.
