The First season followed the beats of the film, encapsulates some of its Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino DNA. Seth (D.J. Cotrona), Richie (Zane Holtz) and Santanico (Eiza González) are solid throughout.
The second season no longer chained to the narrative of the film goes into fresh uncharted territory expanding the mythology, the practical effects are great but some of the CGI falls short.
The third season is a bit of a letdown, while it includes some cult actors and past characters, it further expands the folklore, but has become a 'monster week'cheap thrill. And although the effects are well done they are poorly lit leaving feeling very cheap looking and Buffy like.
Overall entertaining but loosing it's steam with each passing episode. The story keeps it intriguing but the execution appears to have lost it's way which is a shame as everyone appears to be giving 100%.
