Nice tale for the whole family
24 March 2014
This a nice tale for the whole family starting age 3. Simple story with good dialogs, positive message about the importance of friendship, the need to work together rather than isolated, and the importance to be frank. Nice traditional drawing, spare but good jokes. It is clearly an European animation, away from the current average Pixar/Dreamwork production. It is subtler, it is fresher, it does not resort on constant heavy jokes nor special effects ; it's more like a La Fontaine fable. It does not resort on goods versus evils dichotomy ; it tends toward the "Roman de Renard" style rather. The wolf would fit well in Isengrin clothes. Tested on children from 3 to 12 with the same success. A good entertainment for a family afternoon.
