We'll never know
22 May 2009
Satires walk a fine line. While with Slapstick it's pretty obvious what the movie tries to achieve, with Satires (and especially with this one) you never really know. Well of course, it is a fun (but subtle) look at movie-making in Hollywood.

The problem is, that we either have guessed or seen similar things before, or we can't really understand a few things, that are being shown. Overall it seems though that this satire could've done with a little more bite. If you are going to criticize something, go ahead and go all the way. Instead this feels too light to be taken too seriously, but also not fun enough to be entertaining. A shame for the wonderful cast and a couple of good ideas then. There is/was so much more potential here.
