Comedy, certainly; but horror,too.
30 June 2003
This is a well-constructed black comedy about four young women who have formed a local support group to assist each other in bringing up their respective little babies.

Meeting regularly in an upstairs apartment, they soon learn that Camilla's husband lies dead in the bedroom following a silly argument about the baby puking on his favourite bear skin rug.

The story involves some horrific suggestions about the disposal of the body and once the final plan is put into action the tension mounts especially when there are unexpected knocks at the door.

The humour derives from the casual manner in which the ladies discuss their predicament.

The telephone call at the end of the film provides one of the funniest lines I have heard in years.

And when you see some ladies pushing prams together on a bright sunny day, have a thought for their husbands wherever they may happen to be!
