I was laughing throughout.
Reminded me of Peter Jackson's Brain Dead. Fast forwarded most scenes, especially the grotesque ones, the monotonous dancing ones, also the not so appealing nude scenes.
How the new version knows everything about the procedure of the feeding, switching, etc is beyond me.
Also how the new version was able to make a separate room inside the bathroom is again bonkers.
How nobody noticed the weird grotesque stuff entering inside the studio during the new year eve nite is a big wtf.
Most scenes are unbelievable n the movie never mentions that it is a fantasy genre.
Too many wtf moments, unnecessary close up shots of the dance movements.

The movie builds up slowly but in a very engaging style with lots of suspense n tension and ends with a blast.
This one is way way better than Heretic.
Inspite of the entire movie being set up in one enclosed environment revolving around few main characters, it doesn't get monotonous or boring.
The production design, costumes, set up n the story transports the viewers back to the 70's.
I hated slow burns like Hereditary, Wvitch, omitted It comes at Night, Midsommar, etc.
People who are complaining that this is slow must have not seen the above mentioned movies.
This one ain't slow but very engaging.

Of lately why are most of the ghosts or spirits shown as weak, frail or simply wet as if they jus popped outta the water after being immersed in it for longer duration.
A bit of copy paste from Insidious, a bit from Ouija, a bit from Mirrors, a bit from It Follows, etc.
After the incident with Riley, no cops shown interrogating the teenagers, none of their phones confiscated to dig into the matter.
The end was very very very predictable.
There is no atmosphere, there is absolutely nothing terrifying about this, tension is nada n someone please tell me where is the horror.
