Clive Owen pulls his car in along side the doors at Grand Central terminal, gets out and goes into the building. He is then seen inside coming down the escalator. The entrance he went in on was on the west side at Vanderbilt Ave. In that entrance is the marble staircase. There is no escalator. The escalator is on the north side coming down from the MetLife Building.
The armored truck robbery takes place around New Year's, but a poster from "Chinatown" is on the side of the bank. That picture opened in June, so there's no way it would still be displayed nearly seven months later.

In the final scene when Clive Owen and Billy Crudup are walking beside the train, at one of the open train doors there is a giant poster for the new Metro North M8 trains. Those trains were not introduced till 2011.
The story opens in 1974 but the song playing in the background on the record player is "New York Groove" from Ace Frehley's 1978 solo release and even the original by the band Hello was not released until 1975.
During the chase through the Queensboro Bridge, the Trump World Tower is clearly visible. It was not completed until 2001.
The armored truck in the movie has LED-type tail and reverse lights. These lights became standard during the 2000s and did not exist in the 1970s, when the events in the movie happen.
