Most of the violence is implied offscreen rather than shown. Being that the show features Vampires, blood is frequently shown. Episode two of series three features Zombies being disembowled during an autopsy and a Zombie character who is impaled and subsequently falls apart by the end of the episode.

This show makes frequent use of frightening imagery. Every Werewolf transformation shows the character in great pain and the transitional make-up may be frightening to some. Vampire characters are shown to grow fangs and have their eyes blacken. The character Annie is shown being pushed down stairs and cracking her skull on the floor below and dying; blood is then seen flowing from her head.
