In fact, the teaser trailer broke a big record for Warner Bros. and DC as Gunn took to social media to announce that it has been viewed over 250 million times.
“Krypto really did take us home: With over 250 million views and a million social posts, Superman is officially the most viewed and the most talked about trailer in the history of both DC and Warner Bros,” Gunn wrote. “This is because of all of you: thank you! We’re incredibly grateful and, most of all, excited to share this movie with you in July. Happy Holidays!“

As fans wait with bated breath for the Superman trailer, which is due to drop online tomorrow, James Gunn is teasing a little bit about what influenced him during the making of this movie. A lot is riding on this first official entry in the Dcu as the movie will set the tone for the rebooted universe after Zack Snyder’s take with Man of Steel similarly kicked off the Dceu with a more divisive perception than Marvel Studios’ beginning. Deadline now reports on Gunn’s report from ComicBook.com.
The director explained, “I wrote up this big document on action and what our philosophy is of action and how we shoot it and what it is, and keeping it alive in the air, as well as on the ground. And to be able to shoot stuff in the sky as if we were shooting it … Because everything was rougher, like,...

Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars are probably aiming to recreate the magic of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Marvel’s earlier strategy which hinged on great storytelling needs to be replicated after a slew of films that haven’t really resonated with the audience that well. While Marvel has a lot of ground to cover between now and Avengers: Doomsday, it seems like the studio will be relying on one crowd-pleasing tactic to make its films as palatable as possible.
Avengers: Endgame || Marvel Entertainment
Avengers: Secret Wars and Doomsday will probably try to culminate the Multiverse Saga in the best way it can, which could possibly include a slew of cameos from a bunch of Marvel properties, that are not necessarily in the MCU. Given that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been able to connect numerous IPs that were made under the Marvel banner before Iron Man (2008), there...

Did Micheal Fassbender almost mess up his role as Quentin Tarantino? ( Photo Credit – Wikimedia )
Hands down, Quentin Tarantino is an absolute legend, churning out movies that are as iconic as they are unmistakably his. From memorable characters to snappy dialogue, Tarantino’s films have a vibe, and A-listers like Samuel L. Jackson and Harvey Keitel are there to keep the magic alive.
But one standout collaboration got the fans talking: Michale Fassbender’s unforgettable role in Inglourious Bastards. Of course, Fassbender was already on the rise from his portrayal in Hunger and later blockbuster hits like X-Men: First Class and 12 Years an enslaved person. But his time with Tarantino? Absolutely one for the books, but did you know Fassbender almost blew his audition with the legend?

It turns out that Michael Fassbender almost thought he had botched his shot at Inglourious Basterds.

Earlier this year, James Gunn suggested that Superman wouldn’t need any reshoots, but it appears the cameras will be rolling once again. THR’s Heat Vision Newsletter states that “the movie will be doing a few days of additional shooting in Los Angeles in the near term” after recent test screenings.
For a film as big as Superman, a few extra days of reshoots are pretty minor, unlike some other comic-book movies I could mention. When Gunn was asked about possible Superman reshoots this summer, he said he’s “done a total of one day of reshoots on my past two films combined.“
I’m looking forward to seeing more from the film; hopefully, we may even see the first teaser trailer by the end of the year.

Jennifer Lawerence landed a career-defining role due to unwashed hair ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
Yes, Jennifer Lawerence revealed that her gritty, raw look for Winter’s Bone, which earned her an Oscar nomination at just 20, came down to skipping shampoo. Talk about dedication!
In 2010, Winter’s Bone director Debra Granik was hunting for authenticity to bring the brutal Ozark world to life. Enter Lawrence, whose willingness to look rough around the edges made her stand out. It was just what the role needed. Playing Ree Dolly, a determined teen fighting to save her family home, Lawrence delivered a performance so raw and honest that it stunned audiences and the Academy.
But Lawrence has always been unapologetically herself. Whether it’s cracking jokes about sweaty horse butts or calling Woody Harrelson’s yoga swing a “sex swing” the first time they met, she’s got a knack for making an impression. Her Hunger Games...

Beyond a couple of photos, we haven’t been able to see David Corenswet in action as Superman, but James Gunn is confident that the actor will blow us away. While chatting with THR about the upcoming Creature Commandos series, Gunn was asked about the Superman movie and was full of praise for his leading man.
“Superman is an enormous bear of a movie. It’s completely different from [Creature Commandos] in every way, but it’s very much fantastic as well,” Gunn said. “Honestly, from the bottom of my heart, David Corenswet is going to freak everyone out with how great he is. He is one of the best actors I’ve ever worked with, and he can do everything. The man is incredible.”

Here’s what Jennifer Lawerence felt about her role as Mystique ( Photo Credit – Facebook )
Jennifer Lawerence wanted to fast-forward to X-Men: Dark Phoenix and let’s just say that by the time her run as the mutant shapeshifter ended, it was more of a relief than a celebration. She first took on the role in 2011’s X-Men: First Class, which catapulted her to big-screen fame, but the whole blue paint and prosthetics gig? Not her favorite. As much as she appreciated being part of the X-Men universe, she was vocal about how challenging the wakeup process was. By Dark Phoenix, she was ready to ditch the blue for good.
“I love these movies—it’s just the paint,” she admitted on Jimmy Kimmel in 2022. And honestly, who could blame her? The whole process could take up to eight hours. After a while, it wasn’t fun—it was a grind.

Many actors have found their own niche, but Lawrence has, over the years, jumped from action movies to rom-coms to superhero flicks and shown her efficiency.

All eyes are on James Gunn’s Superman, which will set the tone for his DC film universe for years to come. The director and CEO of DC knew he had to dedicate time to post-production in order to make it look right, “If you do some research you’ll see my films have always taken a different approach and I’ve always given my VFX artist-collaborators time to do their jobs properly, and the respect they deserve.” He explains, “This is why we wrapped on Superman a year before release and why they’ve been hard at work on many shots for months before that.“
So, would this mean a teaser could be ready for release sometime soon? Perhaps in coordination with a couple of possible family holidays coming up? According to Collider, back in October, a fan asked Gunn on Threads if there would be a teaser or...

Wolverine is one of the most popular X-Men characters, in large part because he can be thrown into just about any time period or team and make some amount of sense. His popular appeal further increased when Hugh Jackman took on the role in the first X-Men film back in 2000. That version of the character has appeared in a total of ten movies and, as Deadpool and Wolverine joked, "They’re gonna make him do this till he’s 90."
The character that fans know and love was born in 1832 with the name James Howlett, but he lost his memory during his time with the Weapon X program, which also fused adamantium to his bones. Depending on the timeline, he then joined the X-Men and tried to protect young mutants from those who wanted to see them dead or imprisoned.

While fans are still dealing with the travesty that was The Acolyte and are looking forward to Skeleton Crew, it was reported that a new Star Wars trilogy was in development with Simon Kinberg writing and producing. Neither Disney nor Lucasfilm have given an official statement but it is rumored to be a new story with new characters.
Lucasfilm gas announced many film projects in the past, including a trilogy by Rian Johnson. However, most of these projects have been in limbo. On top of that, giving Kinberg the responsibility to handle a trilogy even before testing the waters may be a controversial decision. However, Kinberg does not come without experience.

Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon are taking the title of their next film to heart. They’re set to direct the horror-comedy project “Family Movie” and star alongside their children, Travis and Sosie Bacon.
The foursome will produce for Mixed Breed Films alongside Norman Golightly at Dark Castle Entertainment. Neon International will represent the foreign rights and introduce it at AFM this week while CAA Media Finance will represent the U.S. rights.
The film, based on a screenplay by Dan Beers (“Premature”), follows an eclectic but tight-knit family of filmmakers who suddenly find themselves in a real-life horror movie when a body turns up on the set of their latest low-budget slasher. After working with filmmaker Matthew Vaughn on several movies - including Layer Cake and Kick-Ass - Jason Flemyng boarded the cast of 2011's X-Men: First Class as the villainous Azazel.
Vaughn seemingly had big plans for the character, only for Bryan Singer's return to the franchise with X-Men: Days of Future Past to result in Magneto's original Brotherhood being killed off-screen. Talking to us earlier today about his role in The Stoic, the British screen icon confirmed that...

Amy Adams is on the promotional circuit for her new movie, where she thinks she’s a dog. You read that correctly. Nightbitch is a new comedy that initially gave off the impression that Amy Adams plays a mom who may be turning into a werewolf, but the movie actually doesn’t cross into the supernatural as some may expect. Our own Chris Bumbray says in his review, “While horror fans will be disappointed to learn this isn’t the quasi-Amy Adams werewolf movie we all wanted, Nightbitch is still a nice little flick that would make for a great night out at the theatre for new parents. Just expect a heavy conversation on the drive home.”

In The Stoic, after a group of mercenaries raid a gang's den, they flee to a country hideout with two hostages. A Stoic, a member of a criminal clan, enraged about the women's capture, attacks the mercenaries.
The conflict escalates into an explosive showdown between the Stoic and the mercenaries' ruthless boss determined to kill him.
British actor Scott Wright takes on his first major action role as Aurelius, the Stoic who targets this gang of crooks with violent, bloody consequences. Last week, we spoke with Scott about this intense new role and what it was about exploring stoicism that most intrigued him as an actor.

Superman director James Gunn revealed the first look at Krypto the Superdog yesterday, but some fans have already criticized his breed. While Krypto is typically depicted as a white Labrador Retriever, he has appeared as many different breeds over the years. Not exactly the most consistent pup. For the film, Gunn chose to model Krypto after his own dog, Ozu.
In response to Gunn’s reveal of Krypto on Threads, one fan said, “Not to be ‘that guy,’ but isn’t Krypto supposed to be something akin to a Labrador or something similar?” Gunn replied, “No. Krypto is historically a generic white dog, sometimes also a lab, white shepherd, husky, or Dalmatian. But obviously he’s an alien so he wouldn’t necessarily be exactly any one of these things.“

Who’s the best boy? Krypto, that’s who! Superman’s forever-faithful canine companion, Krypto, is making his debut today for James Gunn’s Superman, with a moving image of the Man of Steel and his very good boy enjoying a moment away from the madness of planet Earth. Gunn shared the photo on social media on Tuesday alongside a brief history of how Krypto became a part of the filmmaker’s highly-anticipated film, starring David Corenswet as Big Blue.
Today’s image of Superman and Krypto shows the Last Son of Krypton and his favorite doggo, Krypto, enjoying a respite from crime-fighting on the moon. We here at /Film consider Daniel Craig to be the greatest James Bond of all. But when he was first cast in "Casino Royale," there was an uproar of complaints from people who thought they knew better than the filmmakers.
Granted, Craig is the one who looks the least like the other Bonds. They all shared the tall, dark, and handsome look of Sean Connery's original, truer-than-even-Ian-Fleming James Bond. Craig has the third feature, but he's of average height and blond. He was also cast over a young Henry Cavill, who doesn't have Craig's acting chops but definitely looks more like the typical James Bond. So, why Craig? "Casino Royale" director Martin Campbell was impressed by his lead performance and "terrific charm" in 2004 crime thriller "Layer Cake."
In that film, Craig plays an unnamed cocaine dealer (Xxxx); the title "Layer Cake" refers to the rungs of London's criminal underworld,...

Halle Berry is a screen icon and perhaps best known to many of you for her role as Storm in the X-Men franchise. Like most of the actors involved with those movies, though, 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand was a low point.
Earlier this year, Kingsman director Matthew Vaughn revealed that when he was attached to helm the threequel, 20th Century Fox had created a fake script meant to trick Berry into agreeing to return as Ororo Munroe.
"Hollywood is really political and odd. I went into an executive's office, and I saw a script that was a lot fatter," the director told fans at a convention. "I was like, 'What the hell's this draft?' They said, 'Don't worry about it.'"
After pointing out it was his job to worry about it, he discovered a scene on the first page which featured Storm saving severely dehydrated children in Africa with a thunderstorm.

The farther removed we get from that initial batch of X-Men movies, the uglier they seem to get. No matter how much Deadpool would like to paper over the past by getting Wolverine in his yellow spandex again, the allegations against Bryan Singer, apparent studio disinterest, and inconsistent quality have curdled the series' reputation.

2025 is set to be a significant year for the Dcu, which is built on the foundations of the former Dceu. Although Creature Commandos will be the first release, both James Gunn and Peter Safran have emphasized that the upcoming Superman movie marks the true beginning of the Dcu.
While details about the plot remain scarce, set leaks and official announcements reveal an impressive cast. Notably, Gunn has “borrowed” several actors from rival Marvel projects.

2025 will be a huge year for Dcu, a newly established cinematic universe on the remnants of the former Dceu. Despite ‘Creature Commandos’ releasing first, both Gunn and Safran stated in the past that the upcoming ‘Superman’ movie is the true start of the Dcu.
Not much is known about the movie plot-wise, but thanks to the set leaks and official announcements we know that the cast is pretty huge. What’s even better is that Gunn “borrowed” quite a few actors from the rival Marvel projects.
Due to this, we decided to summarize all ‘Superman’ actors that at one point appeared in Marvel projects.

Frank Grillo portrayed a notable villain Crossbones in ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier,’ ‘Captain America: Civil War,’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame.’ The actor famously stated that he almost got fired by Marvel a lot of times due to constantly leaking information.

David Corenswet was seen this year as the antagonist in Twisters, and while audiences new to him got a sense of his physique as his height allowed him to tower over his co-stars, he would later put on the necessary muscle to become the Man of Steel in James Gunn‘s Dcu film Superman. Variety reports that Corenswet recently appeared on the Manly Things (Sort of) podcast, where he spoke of his Kryptonian transformation.
Corenswet explained, “I wasn’t 238 (pounds) when we started shooting. I was 238 at my max. I didn’t fit into any of my pants.” The new Kal-El actor spoke candidly about getting used to the new weight and he joked about his realization that he had become a 2Xl shirt size when he attended the table read for Superman. He stated, “That was at the peak of my bulk. And then I slowly lost weight before we started shooting.

Alan Tudyk is one of those actors who can do anything, from stone-cold killers to crime-solving aliens to slow-witted roosters, and now he might be joining Superman on the big screen. According to Deadline, Tudyk may have a secret role in James Gunn’s upcoming Superman movie. Exactly who the actor might be playing is being kept under wraps, but it could be anything, even a voice role.
Tudyk is actually already a part of the new DC Universe. He voices Doctor Phosphorus in Creature Commandos. The rest of the cast of the upcoming animated series includes Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., David Harbour as Eric Frankenstein, Indira Varma as The Bride, Maria Bakalova as Princess Ilana Rostovic, Zoe Chao as Nina Mazursky, and Steve Agee as John Economos, and Sean Gunn as Weasel. The series tracks a secret team of incarcerated monsters recruited for missions deemed too dangerous for humans.

Michael Fassbender’s Magneto is one of the most iconic portrayals of a comic book character for a reason. The actor has done justice to the character in more ways than one, embodying the very essence of his motivations and actions. There are several reasons why audiences love his version as much as they do, however, the most significant is the fact that the actor understands his character the best.

Several interviews can attest to this fact about his portrayal. One such example would be the time Fassbender was asked about his favorite scene of his character from his first film. The actor’s answer showcases exactly why he should revive the role in the new era of the MCU’s Mutant Saga.

Zack Snyder adapted Frank Miller’s historically inaccurate comic book tale of the Battle of Thermopylae to give fans a great David vs Goliath war story in 300. Gerard Butler’s Leonidas led an army of 300 soldiers to face off against the 300,000 soldiers of the Persian God-King Xerxes in the film. It appears that Warner Bros. has invited Snyder back to explore more of the 300 universe.

Fired X-Men '97 showrunner Beau DeMayo has chosen war with Marvel Studios and Disney over his dismissal, going so far as to recently share an outline of an earlier, arguably superior, version of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Now, in the wake of a damaging exposé from IGN on working conditions in Pixar - specifically relating to the production of Inside Out 2 - DeMayo has claimed that he was told to make Professor X and Magneto's dynamic "less gay" while working on the series.
While those two have never been romantically linked on the page, X-Men '97 wouldn't have been the first time that a deeper meaning to their relationship has been teased as Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class did the same.
Regardless, it clearly didn't work for Disney and Marvel Studios executives!

It is hard to imagine a Zack Snyder film without his trademark slow-motion shots, extensive CGI, and biblical references. But, the Man of Steel filmmaker’s feature film debut had very less of his signature filmmaking techniques but propelled him into the mainstream. Many fans still believe his remake of Dawn of the Dead is still his best film.
Snyder himself has spoken about being proud of what he could do with the film. A remake of George A. Romero’s classic horror film, the film was written by James Gunn. Both Gunn and Snyder would cross paths again to make two separate iterations of Superman in their careers. Snyder’s debut, despite being his best, is one of his lowest-grossing films.

Through all his appearances, Magneto has been consistently inconsistent. From Ian McKellen putting on the helmet for the very first time in 2000, to Michael Fassbender’s descent into a twisted mentality, his psyche continues to fascinate fans, regardless of the medium he appears in. While filming the X-Men movies, McAvoy became great friends with the legendary Michael Fassbender. Commonly known for his role as Magneto, Fassbender, much like McAvoy became an immediate fan favorite following the release of X-Men: First Class in 2011.
The chemistry and the brotherly bond they share both on and off the screen have led fans to cook up some steamy fictional stories about them. While most of these stories have questionable plots, there was one moment that McAvoy faced early in...

Neither had I any idea about the existence of Irish hip-hop trio Kneecap nor the struggle the people of Ireland had to go through to establish Irish as a legitimate language. Yet, I found myself highly engrossed by director Rich Peppiatt’s Kneecap, which tells a semi-fictional story about how the rappers Naoise, Liam, and JJ rose to fame during the same tumultuous period when a whole lot of Irish were people trying to save their language from extinction. The two things are, of course, integrally connected, which makes the crux of this film. What further works out in its favor is the actual trio playing themselves in the movie. Despite not being professional actors, they’ve done a phenomenal job. It’s a risk that has paid off superbly. Complementing that, we have seasoned Irish actress Simone Kirby delivering a magnificent performance in the role of Naoise’s mother,...

The first reviews for Paramount Pictures' animated prequel movie, Transformers One, are in, and they are (mostly) very positive indeed - which is somewhat surprising given the mixed-negative reactions to the trailers.
The story focuses on legendary foes Optimus Prime (then known as Orion Pax) and Megatron (then named D-16) before they became sworn enemies as leaders of their respective Transformer factions, the Autobots and Decepticons.
Chris Hemsworth (Thor) voices Pax, with Brian Tyree Henry (Eternals) as D-16, and the movie introduces the two then-friends as simple worker bots, unable to transform into their vehicle and weapon forms. As they assemble a group of fellow warriors to do battle against a mysterious, plant-like villain, they gain the ability to become "Robots in Disguise."
Though some critics weren't quite as won over by this family-friendly adventure as others (there are a couple of negative verdicts), it sounds like the studio has...

Deadpool & Wolverine has opened the floodgates for mutants and the X-Men in the MCU. While mutants had already been introduced, the X-Men hadn’t been mentioned in any meaningful way until the latest Deadpool movie.
Professor X made a technical debut in the MCU, as portrayed by Patrick Stewart in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but he appeared as a variant of an alternate reality and was ultimately killed by the Scarlet Witch.
Avengers: Secret Wars is rumored to bring together a multiversal mix of characters from across all Marvel live-action properties, and there’s also an upcoming X-Men live-action reboot on the horizon.
Given that Professor X is one of the most iconic mutants and X-Men members, fans are naturally hoping for his appearance in both projects, ideally with James McAvoy reprising the role.
In a recent interview with Buzzfeed UK, McAvoy discussed his most memorable characters,...

The full review embargo for Universal Pictures and Blumhouse's remake of disturbing Danish horror film Speak No Evil lifted earlier today, and the critical consensus is (mostly) very positive - although it sounds like some significant changes were made to the relentlessly bleak original.
With 44 reviews counted, the movie currently sits at a very impressive 88% on Rotten Tomatoes.
The blackly funny thriller follows an American family who befriend a seemingly gregarious British doctor (X-Men: First Class star James McAvoy) and his wife and son while on vacation and agree to go and stay with them for the weekend. Before too long, the friendly facade begins to slip, and it soon becomes clear that something is very wrong in the household.
The reactions are all full of praise for McAvoy's performance, and the majority of people who have seen the movie seem to feel that toning down/altering certain elements of...
