Lacey Chabert, Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, and Amanda Seyfried in Mean Girls (2004)

Alternate versions

Mean Girls

Edit
  • The teacher talking German in the beginning of the movie speaks French in the German dubbed version.
  • In the Spanish dubbed version, the teacher speaking German speaks English.
  • In the version shown on E4 in the UK, Regina's line of "Boo! You whore!" and Karen's reaction are cut.
  • A version on E4 in the UK, which is often shown in day-time, cuts some profanity. This includes Regina's line of "Boo! You whore!" and Karen's reaction, Janis's hand gesture to Kady in the group scene, and the "nigga please" subtitle shortly afterwards.
  • When shown on Australian TV, some suggestive dialogue and material (ex: condoms) were cut/edited, so it can be shown before 6:30 pm with a PG rating.
  • When Trang Pak says "nigga, please." in Vietnamese when speaking to her friend during the assembly, the subtitle is changed to "girlfriend, please." in the edited version on TV.
