After a near three-year wait, the second season of Severance premiered last week on Apple TV+, and - as we fully expected it would - the episode raised more questions than it answered following that intense season 1 finale.
“Hello Ms. Cobel” also featured a surprise cameo from Constantine, The Matrix and John Wick star Keanu Reeves, which not everyone spotted.
If you haven't watched the premiere yet, spoilers follow.
At one point, Mark S and his colleagues are sat down and told to watch a "Lumon is Listening" video, which shows the Lumon building coming to life in animated form to reassure our protagonists that their happiness is of paramount importance.
A lot of viewers thought the building's voice sounded familiar, and series creator Dan Erickson has now confirmed that it was indeed the one and only Keanu Reeves.

Djimon Hounsou is pulling the curtain back on an injustice in the film industry. After 30 years of entertaining audiences on screens big and small, Hounsou told CNN‘s Larry Madowo he’s “struggling financially,” despite featuring in tentpole films and receiving two Oscar nominations. Commenting on African representation in cinema, Hounsou says, “Yes, quite a bit has changed,” but not enough to keep him from worrying about his future’s stability.
“When I came out with Amistad, I was nominated for a Golden Globe, but they ignored me for the Oscars, talking about the fact that they thought that I had just came off the boat and off the streets where Steven Spielberg used me for this film,” Hounsou told Madowo. “After 30 years, let’s say maybe the first 10 years was really trying to acclimate myself to the industry,” he said. “I’ve been in this business and making films now over two decades,...

Djimon Hounsou is one of the most prolific actors working in Hollywood today. In the comic book movie realm alone, he's starred in Constantine, Guardians of the Galaxy, Aquaman, Captain Marvel, Shazam!, Black Adam, and Shazam! Fury of the Gods.
He also received "Best Supporting Actor" Oscar nominations for his roles in Blood Diamond and In America. Despite finding that level of success, the actor recently looked back on his career in an interview with CNN and revealed he's "struggling financially to make a living."
"I am still struggling trying to make a living," Hounsou admitted. "After 30 years...maybe the first 10 years was trying to acclimate myself to the industry, to establish myself. But I’ve been in this business making films now for over two decades and with two Oscar nominations and been in many blockbuster films, and yet, I’m still struggling financially to make a living. I’m definitely underpaid.

Keanu Reeves has been acting since the 1980s, and has given the world great performances in the realm of action, adventure, drama, and even comedy. It's rare for someone whose most prolific catchphrase is "Whoah" to be able to show so much emotional depth in a wide range of roles. Reeves is known not to take himself too seriously while still being able to take on very serious roles.
The 1990s were a very rich decade for Keanu Reeves' best films, which saw him star in action-packed blockbusters like Speed, emotional indie films like My Own Private Idaho, and ensemble pieces like Bram Stoker's Dracula. His star was on the rise throughout that tumultuous time of growth, and he's been an unwavering part of pop culture ever since. While Reeves has a very stoic approach to acting, with some criticizing his limited range, it's that brooding calmness that makes...

Constantine was released in 2005 to mixed reviews, and while it's unclear if the sequel will ever happen, there are plenty of reasons to be excited about it. The Constantine sequel was announced to be in the works in 2022, but it remains to be seen whether the project will move forward. With DC currently focusing on establishing a new cinematic universe overseen by James Gunn, projects like Constantine 2 would only work as Elseworlds stories.
Constantine may be one of the darkest fantasy movies of all time, incorporating horror elements well-suited to director Francis Lawrence. This movie only has 46% on Rotten Tomatoes, despite being one of the most engaging, well-conceived, and original action and horror flicks of the 2000s. Based on the DC Comics character, the movie took a lot of creative liberties but delivered a highly entertaining mix of stylized violence and character-driven drama.

The new DC Universe has only just begun, although recent episodes of Creature Commandos, its first series, have already set up Keanu Reeves' dream role in the franchise. Following speculation of Keanu Reeves joining the MCU, the actor has also discussed interest in appearing in the Dcu. While there are many roles that would fit Reeves' unique brand of charm, brooding, and conviction, he new universe appears to be setting up one of their most popular characters in a way that I believe would suit Reeves perfectly.
Keanu Reeves is no stranger to superhero movies, having starred in Constantine. However, the actor has not yet played a significant role in any of these larger cinematic universes. After John Wick became a huge hit, it became clear that Reeves' career is as full of life as it ever was, and the actor would be an asset, whether in Reeves' Marvel dream roles,...

Back in 2021, filmmaker Mike Flanagan let it be known on social media that he was interested in making a “standalone horror/thriller/tragedy” movie that would center on the DC Comics character Clayface, who is usually presented as a villain in the pages of Batman comic books. A while after that, he confirmed that he had met with veteran DC movie producer Jon Berg to pitch a “horror-leaning” take on Clayface, as well as ideas for the DC properties Scarecrow, Justice League Dark, and Constantine. The meeting “kind of went nowhere.” But then, in March of 2023, Deadline broke the news that Flanagan had scheduled another Clayface pitch meeting, this time with DC Studios bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran. And last month, it was announced that Flanagan is officially writing a Clayface movie that will be part of the DC Universe film franchise that’s being overseen by Gunn and Safran.

Brian Cox recalls working with Steven Seagal on a 1996 action comedy with an 11% Rotten Tomatoes score. The Scottish actor is best known to modern audiences as Logan Roy from HBO's Succession, receiving three Emmy nominations for his portrayal of the aging and brash patriarch and media mogul. However, as a classically trained Shakespearean actor, Cox has also appeared in many movies from the 1980s to the 2010s as a character actor, including Manhunter, Braveheart, The Boxer, The Rookie, Troy, Adaptation, X2, and Churchill.
Over his career, Cox has been outspoken about his co-stars and fellow actors, famously and frequently voicing his disapproval of his co-star Jeremy Strong's method acting on the set of Succession. He also recently discussed his co-star Daniel Day-Lewis' method acting on the 1997 film The Boxer, calling his approach "a little off-putting." Yes, MCU and Keanu Reeves makes total sense, doesn’t it? Well, MCU agreed. In fact, Kevin Fiege exclaimed that they have been trying to rope him in, “for almost every film we make,” the John Wick star has yet to make his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut.
Feige revealed this MCU near-miss during an interview with ComicBook.com, saying, “We talk to Keanu Reeves about… I don’t know when, if, or ever he’ll join the MCU, but we very much want to figure out the right way to do it.” Translation: Reeves has been on Marvel’s wishlist for years, but fate—or contracts—had other plans.

Though renowned film critic Roger Ebert loved some superhero movies, there were a select few that he actually hated. Often considered one of the most influential movie critics of all time, Roger Ebert’s distinct voice and characteristic way of cutting through the jargon to deliver succinct and witty reviews of films saw him pass judgment on countless movies. Though Roger Ebert loved some superhero movies, there were other entries into the genre that he actually hated.
As Ebert passed away in 2013, he didn’t live to see the superhero fulfill its full potential as the dominant force in modern cinema, but he did witness the birth of the MCU and its pioneering of the genre. For all the comic book movies that Ebert considered great, there were others that he despised. On occasion, Roger Ebert was known to love terrible movies, but some superhero movies proved to be completely unenjoyable for the critic.

In the summer of 2019, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker director J.J. Abrams signed a huge overall five-year deal with Warner Bros. It was reported to be worth as much as $500 million, with the plan being for him to find new talent for the studio and develop projects for them.
Half a decade later, the studio has little to nothing to show for all that money. Despite that, he's just struck a new, far more modest agreement which will keep him tied to Warner Bros. for at least a couple more years.
In Variety's piece on the news, the trade reiterates that his Constantine TV series remains scrapped. As for the Superman movie he was producing which was set to feature a Black Man of Steel, it's "technically still alive but has seen no forward movement since early 2023."

Back in June 2019, J.J. Abrams struck a huge deal with Warner Bros. worth $500 million, one of the biggest in Hollywood at the time. The deal allowed Abrams to not only create content but also recruit and mentor new talent through his Bad Robot production company.
The idea was for him to become a mogul, with his company becoming a mini-studio, incubating fresh voices. Abrams and his wife, Katie McGrath, were set to lead the charge.
However, as of 2024, the deal has not played out as Warner Bros. might have hoped, Variety reports. While Abrams’ team had high ambitions, they struggled to meet financial and output targets. Bad Robot’s efforts, like setting deals with writers and producers such as Angela Robinson, Jessie Nelson, and Latoya Morgan, did not bear much fruit.

Back in June 2019, J.J. Abrams struck a massive overall deal that would keep him in the fold of Warner Bros., his home studio since 2006.
The five-year pact, pegged at $500 million at the time, had a unique structure that allowed Abrams to draw from a significant pool of money to sign other writers to overall deals. That positioned the multi-hyphenate behind “Felicity” and “Lost” as not just a content creator but a mogul whose Bad Robot production company would incubate the next generation of storytellers, with Abrams and his wife, Katie McGrath, overseeing the stable. Five and a half years later, Warner Bros. doesn’t have much to show for all the coin that it showered on Abrams, even as the value of the deal dropped by half because Bad Robot failed to reach the financial and output benchmarks that would have triggered the full $500 million. With less leverage than it...

Exclusive: Barrett Carnahan (Cobra Kai) has been cast in the Apple TV+ series For All Mankind for the space drama’s upcoming fifth season. In a recurring role, he will portray ‘Marcus,’ a recent high school graduate living on Mars.
The latest season of For All Mankind, created by Ronald D. Moore, Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi, rocketed the series into the new millennium. In the eight years since Season 3, Happy Valley has rapidly expanded its footprint on Mars by turning former foes into partners. It’s now 2003, and the space program’s focus has turned to capturing and mining extremely valuable, mineral-rich asteroids that could change the future of both Earth and Mars. But simmering tensions between the residents of the now-sprawling international base threaten to undo everything they are working toward.
Carnahan joins the expanding cast that includes Mireille Enos, Costa Ronin, Sean Kaufman, Ruby Cruz and Ines Asserson.

Why did DC’s Arrowverse get cancelled? ( Photo Credit – Facebook )
DC’s Arrowverse is officially canceled! Yes, you read that right. DC has wrapped up this multiverse that spanned over a decade. There are several contributing factors to the cancellation of DC’s Arrowverse. Over the years, budget issues have arisen to keep the stories and their qualities better. Then, there were mergers that did not help keep the creative thinkers together. As time went by, the stories also lost their charm, and fans grew disinterested. Eventually, low revenue and budget cuts also caused the makers to take this challenging but necessary decision.
The end was signaled with the finale of the latest season of Superman and Lois and the show’s subsequent cancellation later. While The Arrowverse was concluded with the series finale of The Flash, the finale of Superman and Lois tied all the loose ends. The entire 12-year-long interconnected omniverse has ended,...

For about six years now, Keanu Reeves has boasted an impressive streak of fresh Rotten Tomatoes scores, but with the actor's new role in Sonic the Hedgehog 3, this trend is subject to change. Since 1986, Reeves has been a beloved star, taking on iconic projects such as Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, The Matrix, and Constantine. More recently, Reeves has made waves as the titutlar hero in the John Wick franchise. In general, 2024 and 2025 are going to be big years for Reeves in terms of new releases, but there is one movie that holds particular weight.
Set for release on December 20, 2024, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is going to be significant for Reeves, and not just because it is his only movie of the year. For the first time, the actor is joining the beloved Sega franchise as the iconic villain, Shadow. In general, the introduction of Shadow has been...

Numerous movies from the DC Universe, the MCU, and beyond, have aged incredibly, becoming even more pertinent or enjoyable in the years since their release. Superhero movies often make a splash upon release but can fade into obscurity or lose their appeal over time. However, some films buck this trend, becoming more beloved, appreciated, or culturally relevant as the years pass. These movies stand the test of time for a variety of reasons, whether through their prescience, artistry, or the way they contrast with modern trends.
Superhero cinema has changed notably throughout the 21st Century. Several contemporary examples from the MCU timeline and the Dcu timeline have pushed the boundaries of the genre in ways that were once deemed inappropriate or unsuccessful. Since the modern emergence of adult-oriented comic book movies and concurrent superhero fatigue, some of these older comic book movies have become increasingly relevant or refreshing.

Keanu Reeves makes for a great casting for his dream Marvel Cinematic Universe role in exciting art. The actor has had talks with Marvel Studios in the past, and Kevin Feige even told ComicBook.com that he talks with Reeves "for almost every film" the MCU makes. However, Reeves is not scheduled to appear in any of Marvel's upcoming movies. That could change, as there are still some major Marvel characters who are missing from the MCU, and one of them happens to have an emotional meaning for the star.
On Reddit, user LordHyperBreath shared a stunning fan poster of Keanu Reeves as Ghost Rider.

Earlier this year, an adaptation of the Stephen King novel The Long Walk (which was, like The Running Man and Thinner, published under the pen name Richard Bachman) went into production, with director Francis Lawrence, whose previous credits include Constantine, I Am Legend, Water for Elephants, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Parts 1 and 2, Red Sparrow, Slumberland, and The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, at the helm. Now, cast member Judy Greer (the Halloween and Ant-Man franchises) has said that the film Lawrence has made out of King’s story is beautiful and dark.

The anticipation for Lulu’s return on General Hospital is high. After a bomb destroyed the Floating Rib restaurant in 2020, Lulu — then played by Emme Rylan — ended up in a coma. Ever since, she has been in a long-term care facility. But the meds she was given took a toll on her liver. So, she underwent a risky transplant operation. The donor, Sam, died from a heart attack while in recovery, and Lulu’s mom, Laura, has been begging her daughter to emerge from her comatose state. Lulu’s return is imminent, and we now know when Alexa Havins will officially take on the role. And it’s just around the corner.
The Time Is Imminent
Because Sam (Kelly Monaco) died and the hospital wants to transfer Lulu back to the care facility, Laura has been at her daughter’s side begging for her to awaken so that Sam’s death would mean something.

While presenting a gripping time travel drama, Netflix's Time Cut also features memorable performances from its talented cast members. Directed by Hannah MacPherson, Time Cut riffs on many familiar tropes of the slasher and time travel genre to walk viewers through a compelling tale of grief, revenge, and the ripple effect of one's actions. However, even though it does not cover new ground in the genre, it manages to instill nostalgia in viewers through its portrayal of the mid-aughts.
Apart from being nostalgic, Time Cut also features some edge-of-the-seat action and white-knuckling serial killer scenes that are enough to keep viewers hooked throughout its runtime. What makes its drama and action even more enthralling is the commendable performances of its cast members. Since Time Cut's cast plays a crucial role in making its time travel twists and turns more impactful, viewers may be curious about who plays whom...

Back in July, Djimon Hounsou signed on to star in a shark thriller called Beneath the Storm alongside Phoebe Dynevor (Bridgerton) and Whitney Peak (Hocus Pocus 2), with Tommy Wirkola (Violent Night) writing and directing for Sony Pictures and producers Adam McKay and Kevin Messick of HyperObject Industries. While we wait to hear more information about that project, Hounsou is already moving on to another interesting film, one called The Monster. Deadline reports that Darren Lynn Bousman will be directing the film from a screenplay by Jonathan Bernstein and James Greer, the writers of Steven Soderbergh’s Unsane.
The Monster is set to begin filming in Danbury, Connecticut in November. The story follows two millennials who make quick money by leasing incredible New York City apartments they don’t own to people who don’t know they are being scammed. Keanu Reeves has been an absolute favorite of many film critics and audiences. His career has been very interesting since this actor has been open to starring in almost any genre. However, he has been mostly known for his action-driven films. For example, a lot of action movie lovers recognize him for the Matrix films and John Wick series. What they don’t know is how he has struggled in his personal life as well as experimented with other genres.
Reeves was born on September 2nd, 1964, in Beirut, Lebanon. He was raised in Toronto, Canada. He is of Chinese-Hawaiian descent from his father’s side. His father was a geologist. Reeves had a mother that worked in the industry as a performer and later designed costumes. His parents divorced nonetheless. He ended up residing with his mother and sister. As he got older, he developed a keen interest in acting.

Oliver Berben, who took the reins of German production and distribution powerhouse Constantin Film on March 1, faces a German media landscape that is “changing radically and quickly,” he says. In response, he is adjusting the company’s approach to the business.
He welcomes the government’s proposed reform of the German Film Law, which will change the country’s production incentives, including for television, and will introduce an obligation on broadcasters and streamers to invest 20% of sales generated in Germany back into European productions, 70% of which would have to be in the German language.
“You have stagnating funding of public broadcasters. You have declining revenues for the private stations. The question is: Is the model functioning altogether? It is not, if we just keep on doing the same thing again and again.”

The Arrowverse was truly an astounding piece of television storytelling, a daring experiment that set the standard for how to do interconnected universes on TV, and for how to bring DC heroes to the small screen in live-action. This vital part of TV history came about as superheroes were dominating the big screen and departed just as superhero media ceased to be a surefire bet.
Even today, the Arrowverse remains something special, a universe filled with shows of different tones and approaches. After that came the silly and soapy superhero saga that is "The Flash" (which explored the multiverse years before the concept came to dominate the superhero genre), the progressive and idealistic "Supergirl," the noir-inspired "Batwoman,...

One of the main producers of Constantine 2 shares a big positive update about the DC sequel.
In a recent interview with ComicBook, Lorenzo di Bonaventura, who worked as a producer on the original Constantine film and will be back for Constantine 2, was asked about a status update on the sequel. According to Bonaventura, the Constantine 2 script is finished, as he shared the following:
You know it's in my inbox right now. Funny enough, I'm too scared to read it, though. I want it to be good so bad. I'll probably read it in the next few days, when I get on an airplane.

Nineteen years after the release of the DC Comics adaptation Constantine (watch it Here), a sequel is finally moving ahead with director Francis Lawrence back at the helm and star Keanu Reeves reprising the role of occult expert John Constantine… but it’s moving ahead slowly, because it has already been a couple of years since this project was first announced. Now it has taken a big step forward, as executive producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura revealed to ComicBook.com that the Constantine 2 script has been delivered. He just hasn’t read it yet.
The producer told ComicBook.com, “You know, (the script is) in my inbox right now. Funny enough, I’m too scared to read it, though. I want it to be good so bad. I probably read it in the next few days. When I get on an airplane.“

Keanu Reeves has been seen across a lot of different genres, embodying characters as versatile as his tremendous acting chops. But while he is more famous for his action projects like the John Wick saga and The Matrix film series, the actor hasn’t hesitated to star in projects of pretty much the opposite themes as well. Like absolute comedy, for instance.

Of course, not many people may know about this, but Reeves has even starred in a widely commended sitcom that couldn’t be sillier as compared to his other works. And, ironically enough, what landed him into this sitcom in the first place was nothing other than his sheer friendship with his co-star from his fan-favorite horror-fantasy Constantine, Peter Stormare!
