Every Dragon Age game has taken a different approach to crafting its protagonist, and Dragon Age: The Veilguard is no different, offering faction-specific backgrounds for the main character, Rook. Each of these backgrounds comes with a small story attached to help shape that version of Rook and tie them to the chosen faction. However, some have more flexibility than others and lend themselves better to roleplay.
Set approximately a decade after the events of Dragon Age: Inquisition and around 22 years after Origins, The Veilguard picks up the thread left dangling in Trespasser. After tracking down Solas with Varric and Harding, everything goes wrong when two powerful elven gods are released from the Fade. New hero Rook must put together a team made up of people from the various factions The Veilguard introduces.

At the end of the Regrets of the Dread Wolf side quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Rook can find themselves face-to-face with Mythal and try convincing her to help their cause. After Rook and the party find all six Wolf Statuettes and view Solas' memories contained within, they will consult with Morrigan about what they have seen. She will suggest seeking a remnant of the Elven god Mythal, who might be convinced to help the party in their fight against the other gods.
Like other Dragon Age games, players who choose to track down Mythal's Essence in Dragon Age: The Veilguard must choose the correct dialogue options to convince the goddess that Rook and their cause are worthy of aid. Failing to do so will result in a difficult fight instead. Mythal's Essence proves helpful near the endgame to defeat a powerful boss, unlock a boon ahead of the confrontation with the gods,...

Berlin -- Richard Loncraine's "My One and Only," a '50s-era comedy starring Renee Zellweger and Kevin Bacon, was squeezed into the competition lineup for this year's Berlin International Film Festival, barely a week before the event kicks off.
Zellweger plays a glamorous single mom on the hunt for a rich man to foot the bill for her and her sons' lifestyle. Produced by Merv Griffith Entertainment and Ray Gun Prods., "My One and Only" will have its world premiere in Berlin. Essential Entertainment is handling international sales.
Berlin also added Lone Scherfig's Sundance favorite "An Education" with Peter Sarsgaard, Alfred Molina and Emma Thompson and Davis Guggenheim's music documentary "It Might Get Loud" for its Berlinale Special Galas, ensuring the films will get the red carpet treatment without any of the pressure of competition.
