Before he returns to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for a third Black Panther movie, Ryan Coogler will step into the horror genre for Sinners, which is set to hit theaters next month.
On the heels of a spoiler-filled full trailer, Warner Bros. has released a new poster for the movie, giving us another look at Michael B. Jordan as one of two twin brothers who find themselves facing-off against vampires in the Jim Crow-era Deep South.
In addition, the movie has been given an official R-rating for "strong bloody violence, sexual content and language."
Some horror hounds were worried that the studio might bring this one in with a PG-13, but it sounds like, at the very least, we can expect some blood-soaked carnage. Reports from test-screenings have been mixed, but that last trailer definitely seemed to get more people on board.

You keep dancing with the devil, one day he’s gonna follow you home. Ryan Coogler’s (Creed, Black Panther) Sinners is headed to theaters in just about a month from Warner Bros., and the vampire movie has officially received its “R” rating from the MPA this week.
Sinners is rated “R” for “Strong bloody violence, sexual content and language.”
Michael B. Jordan plays dual roles in Sinners, which Warner Bros. is describing as “a new vision of fear from Ryan Coogler.” The film will be unleashed in theaters on April 18, 2025.
Here’s the official plot synopsis for Sinners, which is said to be “genre fluid,” with sources of inspiration including From Dusk Till Dawn, The Faculty, Salem’s Lot, and John Carpenter.
“Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers (Jordan) return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.

At this point, Steven Soderbergh has released so many films that we’ve likely run out of creative quips about how many films he makes. His most passionate disciples would tout this as a victory, a demonstration of his versatility as an innovative mind always on the hunt to add a new genre or technique to his toolbox; his most dedicated detractors would argue that the director’s output far favors quantity over quality, as demonstrated by a fair few (mostly recent) examples of films whose development seems to have started and ended with the questions “Can I make this? And if so, how quickly?” (Three guesses as to which camp I call home.)
“Black Bag” (2025) conversely, finds Soderbergh making the rare return to an area previously explored in his filmography; shot just four months after the premiere of “Presence” and now released less than two months after that latest stylistic misfire,...

Arnold Schwarzenegger is a screen legend, but it's well-known the Austrian star has more than a few duds to his name. The man even has a dreaded zero-percenter on Rotten Tomatoes, though it is for a 1979 film in which he played "handsome stranger," so it doesn't really count. What's more, according to Rotten Tomatoes, Arnie starred in one of two "perfect" sci-fi movies with "The Terminator," giving the action star a full 100% score to balance things out.
In between those two movies, however, is a wildly uneven filmography that features everything from unimpeachable classics like "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" and "Total Recall" to out and out failures like "Batman & Robin" -- the set for which became chaos thanks in large part to Arnie -- and a 1999 movie called "End of Days," which Newsweek's David Ansen called a "lurid, FX-happy thriller" which "slams pieces of a dozen other movies into a noxious new compound.

Of late, Jamie Lee Curtis has radically shaken up her career. And with a powerful performance in The Last Showgirl, she tells us why she’s done with compromising
Jamie Lee Curtis does not like a mood board. This is what Empire discovered on our photoshoot: that trying to bend Jamie Lee Curtis into a predetermined plan is the quickest way to make her grumpy. “I was so grumpy!” she says a couple of days later over Zoom, laughing. She’d seen our suggested looks and she hated the poses, hated the clothes. She wanted to wear a Loewe blouse she saw Dan Levy wear on a red carpet, with a collar swept up like it was caught in the wind – the chicest thing she had ever seen – but most of all, she just wanted to be herself. While most know her for the unparalleled acting she perfectly put on display through her movies, Jamie Lee Curtis has also given impeccable performances in some really hit television shows as well. This includes the all-time best and one of the biggest fan-favorite crime drama shows ever, NCIS, in which she gave a guest appearance for a few episodes.

But even that one guest cameo role in the series was nothing short of iconic, both because of her own performance as well as the ones she worked with, which included Mark Harmon too since he was still a part of the smash hit saga back then. Whoever they have in the High Potential writers’ room is certainly having a good time letting their imaginations run wild with these cases of the week.
“The Sauna at the End of the Stairs” was far more fun than it had any right to be.
Also, I’m not a true crime nut, but that’s the name of a murder documentary that I would absolutely watch.
(Disney/Carlos Lopez-Calleja)
As I’ve said before, many of the episodes, including this one, feel like they could be fleshed out into multiple parts.
Do you know what else has become a common occurrence on High Potential? Sleazy victims who kind of had it coming.
Seriously, what is with the majority of the victims being terrible people when they were alive?

I don't believe in magic, ghosts, demons... just power."
The marketing for Ryan Coogler's Sinners has been keeping a pretty tight lid on the major plot points up until now, and some fans were growing a little impatient about the lack of undead foes in the teasers for what was originally described as a vampire movie.
Well, Warner Bros. has now released a full trailer for the Black Panther director's Jim Crow-era horror film, and it might just reveal a little too much!
The trailer gives us a much better idea of what to expect from this Southern Gothic tale, making it very clear that Michael B. Jordan's characters (he plays twin brothers) and their allies will be facing-off against some pretty terrifying-looking blood-suckers.
Towards the end of the teaser, however, things do get pretty spoiler-y.

From Fruitvale Station to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Ryan Coogler has established himself as one of the most vital voices in filmmaking over the past 12 years, and now he's stepping into the world of horror with his latest film, Sinners. Ahead of the movie's April 18th release in theaters, Warner Bros. revealed a new trailer for Sinners that sinks its teeth into visceral scares and unveils the vampiric side of its chilling and emotional story.
Daily Dead recently took part in a virtual Sinners trailer preview event with Ryan Coogler hosted by Juju Green. During the insightful conversation about Sinners, Coogler discussed how this film is especially a personal project for him:
My maternal grandfather is from Mississippi. And my uncle James, who passed away while I was finishing up Creed, was also from Mississippi. And it was a place I had never been. My maternal grandfather passed before I was born.

One of the great benefits of the Sundance Film Festival is that it provides a forum for independent film producers to gather and not only share war stories, but celebrate one another and offer support for the films being unveiled. On Sunday, January 26, the Sundance Producers Celebration was held for this exact purpose, with the 2025 Sundance Institute | Amazon Studios Producers Awards being presented to producers of films premiering at this year’s festival. “Babygirl” producer David Hinojosa also delivered the keynote address.
Joe Pirro received the Amazon Studios Fiction Producers Award for his work on the remake of “The Wedding Banquet” starring Bowen Yang and Lily Gladstone, while Danielle Varga received the Amazon Studios Nonfiction Producers Award for the documentary “Seeds.” Both will receive a $10,000 grant as part of this prize. IndieWire shares Hinojosa’s keynote exclusively below.
David Hinojosa: This is truly a place that allows you to be exactly who you are.

In James Cameron's 2009 ultra-hit "Avatar," Joel David Moore plays Dr. Norm Spellman, an anthropologist who travels to the distant moon of Pandora to study its indigenous residents, the Na'vi, as well as the planet's varied flora and fauna. Dr. Spellman is gregarious and possesses a light sense of humor, making him a good friend to his fellow humans but a bad match for the more stern Na'vi locals. He, like several of the human characters in "Avatar," has his consciousness shunted into the body of a Na'vi/human clone so that he can breathe the air and traverse the terrain more comfortably. Moore handles the role well, and, despite limited screen time, infuses Dr. Spellman with a great deal of affable humanity.
It seems that Cameron auditioned at least one other notable comedian for the role, as Josh Gad was apparently a finalist to play Dr. Spellaman. In 2009, Gad...

Cameron Diaz’s screen appearance after an eight-year break marks a specific moment in film history. Her 2014 departure came when disconnecting from public life seemed optional—before pandemic lockdowns made isolation universal. Her role in Back in Action, a Netflix action-comedy, creates an interesting contrast: she returns as streaming services mine the past for content and viewers. Diaz represents something specific about cinema’s earlier days, when movies prioritized warmth over irony.
Her anticipated return created mixed reactions. Could she recapture the sparkling energy from Charlie’s Angels, where she balanced comedy and fight scenes with natural grace? Or would this film echo her final projects before 2014, when her exit seemed expected? Playing Emily, a former CIA agent balancing spy work with suburban motherhood, she shows both strengths and limitations—displaying talent while working through basic dialogue (“I sell puzzles on Etsy!”) during action sequences.

Plot: Two married former CIA spies (Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx) are pulled back into espionage when their former identities are exposed.
Review: There are two genres all of the streamers seem to be obsessed with: spy capers and heist movies. The super spy genre is an especially attractive one, as the plots can be thin, and old formulas can be recycled over and over again. As long as your stars are likeable and you have a decent director at the helm, spy flicks do their job as mindless entertainment. However, it’s worth noting that none of these streaming spy flicks have ever successfully launched a franchise, with most viewing movies like The Grey Man, The Mother, Heart of Stone or Ghosted as mediocre one-offs.

From the bouncer brawler Road House to the high-octane spy caper True Lies, there are plenty of great mindless action movies out there for Fast & Furious fans to enjoy. What makes the Fast & Furious movies so much fun is that they allow the audience to switch off their brain. They flagrantly defy the laws of physics with their absurd action set-pieces. James Bond movies tend to have complicated plots and the Bourne movies deal with heavy themes, but the Fast & Furious saga doesn’t strive to do anything more than entertain.
There are plenty of other great action movies that fall into this category. Directors like Michael Bay and stars like Jason Statham have made a career out of action movies that stimulate the audience’s adrenaline while giving their intellect some much-needed rest. There are action movies with ridiculous premises that make no sense, like the face-swapping plot of Face/Off,...

Back in Action is one of the most Netflix films out of all the Netflix films on Netflix. By this, I mean that it has nothing that will inspire you to keep your eyes on the screen, but it isn’t bad to keep it in the background.
Directed by Seth Gordon, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Brendan O’Brien, the Netflix spy action comedy-drama film revolves around former CIA spies Emily and Matt, who gave up their life of action and adventure to raise a family but are pulled back into the action after their secret identities are exposed.
Back in Action could’ve been a fun espionage action romp, but it neither has the charm of True Lies nor the bombastic action of, well, True Lies. Everything in the film feels low effort...

She gained fame as a “scream queen” over 40 years ago, but in the four decades since has proven her versatility in a range of genres. Award-winning activist, author and daughter of two film icons, Jamie Lee Curtis has built an impressive resume over several mediums. And 2022 was an especially wonderful year for her with an acclaimed performance in “Everything Everywhere All at Once” that brought her an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.
Curtis was born in Santa Monica on November 22, 1958 to actors Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh. After finishing school, she briefly pursued an education in law, but decided to follow in her parents’ footsteps instead. In 1977, she was given a small role in an episode of “Quincy M.E.,” followed by several more small parts and a role in the short-lived “Operation Petticoat,” based on the film which had starred her father. It’s been 40 years since Jamie Lee Curtis got her hips busy in the jazzercise scene from the 1985 film Perfect, and now, with the help of Jimmy Fallon, the actor has recreated the iconic moment.
Sitting down opposite Fallon on the Tonight Show stage, Curtis began the segment by recalling some films she’s danced in, like Prom Night and True Lies. Fallon then mentioned the leotard-clad segment from Perfect, showing a clip of the original with Curtis and her co-star, John Travolta, gyrating to the beat of Jermaine Jackson and Whitney Houston’s “Shock Me.”
“That’s a lot of thrusting!” Fallon said of the clip, fanning himself. He then joked that it went on for “five minutes,” to which a laughing Curtis replied, “No, no, that scene went on for, like, seven minutes.”
The two then introduced their skit — calling it “never-before-seen” footage — recreating the moment. Curtis, donned...

David Fincher has revealed that he utilized artificial intelligence to refine a pivotal scene in the Se7en 4K remaster. The 1995 psychological thriller starred Brad Pitt, Morgan Freeman, and Kevin Spacey, with the former two playing homicide detectives on the hunt for a barbarous serial killer, played by the latter. The Se7en 4K remaster was released to celebrate the film's 30th anniversary and ensure its technical quality matches today's standards.
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly for the re-release, Fincher focused on the film's visual issues, specifically in the climactic car scene where John Doe (Spacey) interacts with the detectives. Some shots of Spacey’s character in the backseat were previously out of focus due to the constraints of the original shoot. By leveraging AI tools, Fincher improved these shots, creating mattes to enhance Spacey’s performance while making sure to preserve the scene’s gritty tension. Check out...

The trailer for Danny Boyle’s 28 Years Later has absolutely blown up since it was released a few weeks ago. It’s quickly become the most anticipated movie of 2025 for many horror fans, with a sequel also set for a January 2026 release. However, until recently, Danny Boyle’s 28 Days Later has been unavailable for streaming and has been out of print on Blu-ray due to rights issues. Why? It’s because Sony, who is distributing the sequels, acquired the rights to the original film, which was first distributed by Fox Searchlight (now owned by Disney), and had it pulled (although the sequel – 28 Weeks Later – which Disney owns outright – is still available). Now, with the 28 Years Later trailer reinvigorating interest in the franchise, Sony has finally re-released the original film to streaming services like iTunes, albeit in a basic HD transfer, which might surprise fans who’ve been anticipating a 4K re-release.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has been in the public eye for decades now. He has seen the heights of success and revolutionized the genre of action, completely immortalizing himself in the world of Hollywood. While this has come with its fair share of perks, it has also made privacy void from his life.

One can imagine that there are many things that the world knows about the actor that he would have rather kept to himself. At the same time, there is one very big aspect of his personal life that one can imagine he wanted to keep private: his love child and affair.
Arnold Schwarzenegger kept his suspicions about his son secret from everyone.
Arnold Schwarzenegger had four children from his marriage with Maria Shriver. However, one does not have to look far to know that the actor has another child, Joseph Baena, who is not Shriver’s kid.

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s ascension to the status of a billionaire was not a result of the accumulated pension of an A-lister over the course of his successful career in Hollywood. The star of films such as The Terminator and True Lies has faced more ups and downs in his career than an amusement park roller coaster.

Arnold Schwarzenegger was, for a time, one of the biggest action stars in Hollywood. He still carries this reputation with him now at 77 years old, and many of his action flicks from the '80s and '90s have stood the test of time. Schwarzenegger's action hero tenure largely started with Conan the Barbarian in 1982, but it was 1984's The Terminator and his role as the T-800 that cemented him as a staple of the genre.
Movies from the '80s like Predator (1987) and The Running Man (1987) remain Scharzenegger action classics, as does 1990's Total Recall. The 90's saw the Austrian actor's domination of the action space continue with movies like Kindergarten Cop (1990), Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), Last Action Hero (1993) and True Lies (1994). There's one title from the '80s, however, that also lives on as not just a quintessential Schwarzenegger action movie, but as one that is emblematic of...

2024 was maybe the best year ever for Blu-rays and 4K Uhd discs.
Thanks to boutique labels like Shout! After years of bemoaning the death of physical media, its transformation from an everyday item to the kind of collector’s market that led to the resurgence of vinyl records, is nearly complete. Lionsgate recently started a boutique sublabel called Lionsgate Limited; A24 is now starting to sell titles that would have been exclusive to its online store on Amazon. Everything is a-okay.
And it’s with this newfound sense of optimism – about the market, about the titles that are being released and the committed teams bringing those titles to life – that we try and encapsulate this very special year. All of the releases...

Universal is looking to Jamie Lee Curtis to pick up where Angela Lansbury left off for the studio’s Murder, She Wrote movie. There’s no deal yet, but Curtis is the studio’s top choice to play Jessica Fletcher in a film based on the 12-season CBS series.
The script is by Dumb Money scribes Lauren Schuker Blum and Rebecca Angelo, and Lord Miller and Amy Pascal are producing it. Plans to scope out a Murder, She Wrote film come at a time when whodunit stories are making a killer comeback. Rian Johnson’s Knives Out Mysteries series is a smash hit with audiences. At the same time, other titles like Netflix’s Enola Holmes, starring Millie Bobby Brown as the younger sister of Sherlock Holmes (Henry Cavill), and Kenneth Branagh’s revival of Hercule Poirot are great additions to the genre’s offerings.

"Kindergarten Cop" is the quintessential 90s movie. It stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, the defining action star of the era, in a role few thought he could pull off, and it's directed by one of the most prolific filmmakers of the decade. The film also features a cast of young actors just before they went on to achieve major success. Now, we're looking back at the talent involved in "Ghostbusters" director Ivan Reitman's popular 1990 comedy to find out what they're up to these days, mainly because we love reminding ourselves just how old we are.
For those unaware, "Kindergarten Cop" follows Detective John Kimble (Arnold) as he goes undercover as a kindergarten teacher to bust a dangerous criminal. Like "Twins," Reitman's previous collaboration with Arnold, "Kindergarten Cop" blends comedy with drama, plus a hefty dose of surprisingly violent action, resulting in the perfect movie to show kids of all ages in...

A New Hope and the rest of the Star Wars trilogy may be preserved and pristine, but there’s something wonderfully tactile about the untouched theatrical print.
The 20th Century Fox logo wobbles as its accompanying fanfare tinnily rings out. An Imperial Star Destroyer roaring overhead is joined by scratches and splotches of dust. Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi glide into a rather subdued Mos Eisley with just one Dewback as a background extra.

Classic sitcoms from the 1950s obviously look a lot different than modern TV comedies. For starters, they were mostly in black and white. Also, they seemingly took place in an alternate reality where toilets and queen-sized beds don’t exist.
But a lot of old-timey TV shows now look terrific thanks to high definition home video transfers. On Blu-ray, Leave It to Beaver looks so crisp and clear, it almost feels as if you could reach out and touch the characters (and then ask them why in god’s name they nicknamed a kid “Beaver”).
Comedy fans were understandably excited when Paramount Home Entertainment announced that the entirety of I Love Lucy would be released on Blu-ray, in a box set containing a whopping 33 discs. Yes, finally, we’ll be able to see every single pore and bead of sweat on Lucy’s face as she shoves assembly-line chocolates into her mouth.

We all know Arnold Schwarzenegger terminated the 1980s as the premiere action movie star alongside Stallone, but what about the 90s? Beyond Total Recall, T-2: Judgment Day, and True Lies, what’s the best Arnie action flick released between 1990 and 1999? And when we mean best, we don’t mean box office success, we’re talking about old-school ass-kicking Schwarzenegger action hinting at the halcyon days that date back to Commando and Conan the Barbarian. Is it Last Action Hero? End of Days? Or is it Chuck Russell’s underrated 1996 conspiracy espionage thriller Eraser? If you said Junior, Jingle All the Way, or Batman & Robin, you may kindly show yourselves out the door this instant. Better yet, stick around, Eraser is about to wipe your memory and prove why it’s the last great Arnie action flick to blast the masses in the 1990s.

During the vibrant Red Sea Film Festival, actor Omar Miller discussed his experience in Gabriele Salvatores’ new film, “Naples to New York.” This historical drama, influenced by Federico Fellini’s early work, follows the story of two children who become stowaways on a ship bound for America in 1949 and embark on a transformational adventure.
Miller portrays George, an American cook who becomes an important part of the children’s journey. What distinguishes this film is its unique genesis; it is based on a narrative written by Fellini and his partner, Tullio Pinelli, in the 1940s, long before Fellini rose to international prominence as a filmmaker.
“This is one of the few times as an actor where you sign up for one film and end up making another film, but that other film is better than the film you thought you signed up for,” Miller said during an interview at the Deadline Studio in Jeddah.

The 1990s were full of incredible action movies that deserved a sequel, despite never really getting one. The 90s were responsible for some brilliant action movie franchises, from the Die Hard sequels to the continuation of James Cameron's Terminator with one of the single greatest action films of all time. However, the decade also produced plenty of classic action films that, for whatever reason, continue to stand alone to this day as one-off adventures.
In the modern age of filmmaking, the sequel rules all, with nearly every blockbuster that comes out having some form or another of brand recognition thanks to sequels, prequels, spin-offs, and adaptations. Thus, it's hard to imagine that action films with even a modicum of success were allowed to remain untouched in their IP, no matter how much they may have deserved to see their stories continue. Few Hollywood duos are as iconic as Arnold Schwarzenegger and James Cameron. The two have had quite the journey together; creating some of the biggest movies in their careers over the course of a decade. Starting in 1984, they made one of the most iconic action films of all time, The Terminator.

Soon after, they made the much-anticipated 1991 sequel to the film Terminator 2: Judgment Day. In 1994, they collaborated once more in their cult-classic film, True Lies. With how much success they have seen together, one cannot help but wonder if they could have done more work together.
However, it would seem that they almost got the opportunity to collaborate again in one of Hollywood’s most iconic franchises, Planet of the Apes.

Director James Cameron’s The Terminator is celebrating its fortieth anniversary this year. To mark the occasion, it’s the latest one of the director’s movies to get a radical 4K restoration done by Park Road Post, a post-production facility owned by Peter Jackson’s WingNut Films. This company is behind some of the most incredible, acclaimed restorations in recent memory, including Peter Jackson’s WWI documentary, They Shall Not Grow Old, and his The Beatles’ Get Back documentary.
But they’ve also been controversial, with James Cameron using them to significantly alter the looks of several of his films as they hit 4K. Notably, each film had been completely wiped of any film-like grain, making them look more like contemporary films than those made in the 1980s and 90s. This was especially noticeable in Aliens, which always sported a grainy look due to the high-speed film stock used.

Now that the first two "Avatar" movies have become some of the biggest films of all time, it seems strange to think that any of us ever doubted director James Cameron. The so-called king of the box office knows how to churn out hits, even when pivoting from live-action to mostly CGI blockbusters that push the frontiers of filmmaking.
Cameron has always been fascinated with technology, of course, ever since his little sci-fi slasher "The Terminator," with its plot revolving around an AI that becomes self-aware, proved to be a surprise success and launched his career. It was that same film that also launched the career of its star, Arnold Schwarzenegger, who would go on to front two more Cameron films: 1991's "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" and 1994's "True Lies." When James Cameron wrote ‘the future is not set’, he wasn’t kidding. The year was 1982 and Cameron — then a Roger Corman-schooled production designer, art director, effects guru and general Jim of all trades — was in Rome, directing a few ill-fated days on Piranha II before getting the boot, when a vision came to him in a fever dream. It was a hellish image, of a chrome skeleton, an unstoppable robot that Cameron decided was from the future. He called it, and the movie it inspired, The Terminator.
When he got back to Los Angeles, licking his wounds, Cameron started writing the screenplay for a movie in which that unstoppable robot travelled back in time to try to kill the mother of the leader of a future resistance. It included that line, ‘the future is not set’. Which, for Cameron, wasn’t so much a line, more a mission statement.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences laid off a major contingent of staff members in its archive and library on Wednesday, including Academy Film Archive director of 24 years Mike Pogorzelski. A source with knowledge of the changes says that several impacted employees had worked at the Academy for more than a decade. Across archive, library and museum collection, 16 employees were laid off.
The downsizing, announced on Wednesday by Academy CEO Bill Kramer in an internal statement obtained by Variety, comes amid an ongoing restructuring initiative at the organization. The cutbacks place the archive, the library and the collecting unit’s operations under a newly formed Academy Collection and Preservation department.
“As part of this work in building the new Academy Collection and Preservation department, some team members will be leaving the Academy this week,” Kramer wrote, adding the note that “less than 2% of our overall workforce” had been impacted.

Building on what is already the largest film-related collection in the world, comprised of more than 52 million items, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences revealed some of their most recent acquisitions today, including the Studio Ghibli animation collection, which contains more than 80 pieces of original art by Hayao Miyazaki and Noboru Yoshida, as well as the studio’s Japanese movie posters and animator’s desk. Another hot ticket item, presented at the Academy Museum Gala on October 19 in Los Angeles, is Quentin Tarantino’s personal, handwritten script for “Pulp Fiction,” which won the Best Original Screenplay Oscar and celebrated its 30th anniversary this year.
Filmmakers Curtis Hanson, Nicole Holofcener, Barbara Kopple, Oliver Stone, and Paul Verhoeven also donated their personal collections to the Academy, which features production records, photographs, scripts, and more from films such as “L.A. Confidential,” “Harlan County, U.S.A,” “Platoon,” “Showgirls,” and “Enough Said.

Fans of actor Bill Paxton — and we are legion — likely know that he made his directorial debut in 1980, helming the music video for Barnes & Barnes' immortal classic "Fish Heads." The video, made on a very, very low budget, featured Paxton as a buyer and enthusiast of the titular ichthyoid crania, shown throwing them a birthday party and generally enjoying their company. The video also featured a cameo from Dr. Demento, the famed Los Angeles DJ responsible for proliferating hundreds of well-known novelty hits, and for bringing "Weird Al" Yankovic to the world's attention. Paxton was a weird, wonderful man who ran on the fringes. The fact that he became a well-known mainstream star is kind of wild.
Paxton, of course, began appearing in feature films in the late 1970s and early 1980s, starring in notable genre films like "Butcher, Baker, Nightmare Maker" and "Mortuary." Many likely first noticed him in...

Arnold Schwarzenegger has addressed the possibility of appearing in an Avatar movie, but only if a particular condition is met first. Schwarzenegger and Avatar director James Cameron have worked together three times, and have become friends in the process. As a result, it may not be surprising that the two have discussed the upcoming Avatar sequels. Cameron directed the first two Terminator movies as well as True Lies, all of which starred Schwarzenegger. All three of their past collaborations were successful, but it has been over 30 years since the two worked together.
James Cameron's career has had a massive impact on Hollywood since his films with Schwarzenegger. His use of CGI in the Terminator franchise was groundbreaking, and his Avatar movies reached $2 billion at the box office each. Terminator was the movie that started Schwarzenegger's career as a 1980s action star, making him a household name. The Avatar movies are...
