  Frank : Who said that?

  Jake - voice : I did. And Frank we'd better get down to business. Sit down. We've gotta talk. I'm running out of time and it looks like you're the only one I can depend on to help me.

  Frank : [realizing the voice is coming from the cat]  It... it's you?

  Jake - voice : It's not the mouse. Now sit down.

  Frank : But your lips aren't moving. You're not speaking.

  Jake - voice : Through transference. Nothing exceptional where I come from. Now, sit.

  [Using telekinesis generated through his collar, Jake pulls a chair behind Frank forward and he collapses into it] 

  Jake - voice : My name is Zunar-J-5/9 Doric-4-7.

  Frank : [struggling]  Zunar...

  Jake - voice : Why don't we stay with Jake, okay? Frank, last night, at 03 hours plus 13, I made an emergency landing in a spaceship from another galaxy. That so-called "artichoke", it's from my craft.

  Frank : But... you're a cat.

  Jake - voice : Granted. But you see, Frank, in our civilization, that's as far as we needed to evolve. We developed our brain to a fine point. Now, man, on the other hand, rose off his four legs and developed tools, machinery, agriculture, and a chronic pain in his lower back. We developed tools for the mind. This collar here, it amplifies brain power.

• [first lines] 

  Jake - voice : This is Earth Probe Zunar J5 calling Mother Ship. Zunar J5 calling Mother Ship. Come in, Mother Ship. This is Earth Probe Zunar J5 calling Mother Ship.

  Mother Ship : Zunar J5, this is Mother Ship. Have you completed emergency landing?

  Jake - voice : Affirmative, Mother. Request repair party.

  Mother Ship : Negative, Zunar J5. You'll have to effect emergency repairs yourself. And rendezvous with us at grid dissect 8304. At 69 hours minus 17.

  Jake - voice : That's an awful tight squeeze, Mother.

  Mother Ship : Unavoidable, Zunar. Next mission to this galaxy due in 115.

  Jake - voice : Days?

  Mother Ship : *Years*. Good luck, Zunar J5. Over and out.

  Jake - voice : Yeah. So long, Mother.

  [the ship opens up a landing platform. Out from the ship comes a cat - the Zunar J5 we've been hearing. His collar illuminates and the title "The Cat From Outer Space" appears] 

• [Link catches up to Frank -- in disguise as General Stilton -- helping Jake get the spaceship out of an airplane hanger] 

  Frank : Link! What are you doing here?

  Link : Frank, it's a nightmare. Liz has been captured by Stallwood.

  Frank : What? Have you been hitting the beer? Stallwood of supplies and purchasing?

  Link : He's an agent, Frank! For some guy named Olympus, a power-crazed creep who's trying to -- Frank, he's holding her for ransom!

  Jake - voice : Lucybelle, too?

  Link : Yeah, he wants that collar, Jake. It's the collar or Liz.

  Frank : Are they out of their minds? Where is she?

  Jake - voice : I'm going with you, Frank.

  Frank : No, no, no, you don't want to get stuck here on Earth. And you've got a responsibility to your mission.

  Jake - voice : But I'm the reason for the mess they're in.

  Frank : Do you know where they've taken her?

  Link : Yeah, to some place called Dailey's Airport.

  Frank : Do you know where it is?

  Link : Yeah.

  Jake - voice : Let's go.

  Link : Frank...

  Frank : [sternly]  Jake, you're going home.

  [softening] 

  Frank : Now get in there. So long, buddy.

  Jake - voice : [resigning]  Yeah.

  Frank : [to Link]  Let's go.

  [Frank and Link get into the General's Jeep and watch as the saucer begins liftoff] 

  Mother Ship : Five, four, three, two. Ignite.

  [the saucer takes off from the base] 

  Frank : Bye, Jake.

  Link : Drop us a card.

  [Suddenly, Jake materializes in between the two] 

  Jake - voice : Okay, you clowns. Let's move it. Let's go!

  Frank : [incredulous]  Jake! Jake, this is insane. You're here forever, on Earth!

  Jake - voice : You're wasting time! The airport!

• Presiding Judge : Please stand, Jake.

  [Jake stands up] 

  Presiding Judge : Repeat after me: I Jake,

  Jake - voice : I Jake,

  Presiding Judge : Pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America.

  [collar lit up, and levitates the judge] 

  Presiding Judge : And to the republic for which it stands.
