Jeopardy! has a new home for 2025. The popular game show has aired in daily syndication since 1984 after getting its start on NBC. Thanks to syndication, the game show airs on different networks depending on where a person lives, with NBC still its home in many locations. However, in 2025, the show will have a new secondary home.
Here is where Jeopardy! is aring in 2025.

Adam McKay is applauding just how “radical” Jon M. Chu’s musical adaptation “Wicked” is.
The director tweeted that “Wicked,” which is only one half of Chu’s two-part vision, is one of the biggest swings in Hollywood. McKay explained that “Wicked” is “nakedly about radicalization in the face of careerism, fascism, [and] propaganda,” which feels especially poignant in America today.
“On a pure storytelling level, ‘Wicked Part 1’ is right up there as one of the most radical big studio Hollywood movies ever made,” McKay wrote. “I know ‘Part 2’ swings back to the center a bit but ‘Part 1’ is nakedly about radicalization in the face of careerism, fascism, [and] propaganda.”
He continued, “What’s really striking about ‘Wicked Part 1’ is that it’s coming out Now when America has never been more right wing and propagandized. And yes, I know the theatrical production and the book are much older so part of...

YouTube TV recently announced a price hike to $83 per month, and fans can watch many of the same sports channels with Sling and save big!
YouTube TV was one of the last holdouts amongst live TV streaming services that increased prices in 2024. Nevertheless, the streamer announced in December that effective immediately for new subscribers, it was raising its base plan price from $73 per month to $83. That news was a big blow to sports lovers, as YouTube TV has a great selection of national sports channels in its plan.
If you’re planning to leave YouTube TV when the price increases for existing subscribers in January, I’ve got a fantastic alternative for you: Sling TV. This service carries many of the same sports channels as YouTube TV, and at $46 per month is almost half the price. Check out a more detailed comparison below!

George Clooney might seem like a fun-loving sort, but he is a man who takes his movie stardom seriously. Yes, he's a notorious practical joker who once affixed a frame to Brad Pitt's license plate that read "F*** Cops," but, really, when he's not trying to get his "Ocean's Eleven" co-star arrested, he cares deeply about his craft. If you doubt this, you should perhaps read the book "George Clooney: Anatomy of an Actor," which examines ten of his most significant film performances in some detail — and, yes, I am just recommending this book because I wrote it.

Is so-called “category fraud” taking over the Best Supporting Actress race at the upcoming Oscars? Is Kieran Culkin really on track to win Best Supporting Actor for “A Real Pain”?
Five top Oscar experts from major media outlets recently got together to dish these two supporting contests: Gold Derby’s Debra Birnbaum, Deadline’s Pete Hammond, Variety’s Clayton Davis, The Hollywood Reporter’s Scott Feinberg, and Indiewire’s Anne Thompson. Watch their 2025 Oscars slugfest video above.
“Supporting actress is a very tough category this year, because we have some movies that are going to provide two,” Hammond says in reference to “Emilia Pérez’s” Zoe Saldaña and Selena Gomez. He adds that “Zoe is probably the frontrunner as we speak because, really, it’s a leading role.”
“Wicked” scene-stealer Ariana Grande is also a leading role campaigning in supporting, and she continues to climb up Gold Derby’s charts.

Sacks Productions, Mark Goffman and Getaway Entertainment are teaming to produce a feature-length film about Satoshi Nakamoto, the enigmatic founder of Bitcoin, with Sophia Banks set to direct. The movie, based on Andrew O’Hagan’s longform article “The Satoshi Affair,” will delve into the mystery surrounding the elusive creator of the world’s most revolutionary digital currency, blending investigative journalism with captivating storytelling.
“This film will be akin to watching The Social Network without knowing who the Mark Zuckerberg character might actually be,” Sacks remarked. “I’m delighted that we have the correct team in place to bring O’Hagan’s investigation, and the events since that period, to life.”
Producers David Sacks and Daniel Brunt optioned the article and took it to longtime collaborator Mark Goffman, who is adapting the screenplay and producing with Sacks and Brunt. Producing for Getaway Entertainment are Damiano Tucci, Banks and Arwen Elys Dayton.

Younger sports fans who have grown frustrated with trying to find and pay for different platforms to watch the teams and the games that they want are turning to sports highlights on social media and television at a high rate — and they seem perfectly happy with watching highlights compared to the actual games themselves.
That was the overall takeaway of the latest Global Sports Survey released by Altman Solon this week, which found the uptake in sports highlights and related programming was higher among younger sports fans who are accustomed to watching content on social video platforms and streaming services compared to older audiences who prefer traditional TV like broadcasting and cable.

“The best antidote for a bad election is a good movie,” Richard M. Nixon once proclaimed, and for many filmgoers this week Conclave helped blot out the political noise. A papal thriller with a shock ending, Conclave’s impact again raises the question of whether serious adult fare can again command a strong market niche.
The setting of Conclave is itself a departure: The Pope is dead. The Vatican’s prayerfully powerful College of Cardinals is locked in its sanctorum, weathering intrigues about a potential new leader.
Directed by Edward Berger (All Quiet on the Western Front), a regally robed cardinal, Ralph Fiennes, struggles to sustain calm in the face of sexual and political challenges raised by Stanley Tucci and John Lithgow, among others.

Konstantin Stanislavski, the father of modern acting, famously said, “There are no small parts, only small actors.” Isabella Rossellini speaks to this quote with determined ferocity.
Rossellini’s captivating seven-minute, 51-second (according to distributor Focus Features) appearance in Edward Berger’s 120-minute religious thriller “Conclave” could be enough to earn the veteran actor the first Oscar nomination of her career.
Portraying Sister Agnes, a nun who quietly maneuvers within the Catholic Church’s power struggles as it faces the monumental task of selecting a new pope, Rossellini’s restrained yet powerful turn is generating awards buzz for supporting actress. While some Oscar pundits may question if her limited screen time will be a hurdle, her role aligns perfectly with the original intent of the supporting categories, established at the 9th Academy Awards in 1936 to recognize impactful, secondary performances.

Peter Yates' "Bullitt" is one of the most stylish cop flicks ever made. Those multi-screen opening credits designed by the great Pablo Ferro, that jazzily urbane Lalo Schifren score, those wildly cool outfits donned by Steve McQueen at the height of his laconic sexiness (some inspired by the suits sported by real life detective Dave Toschi) –- it's a stone groove punctuated by spasms of violence and, of course, a raucous car chase through the hilly streets of San Francisco. It's so ineffably pleasurable, you don't mind that the narrative is a sketchily plotted afterthought. Who needs an intricately structured story when you're watching, as Quentin Tarantino wrote in his book "Cinema Speculation," "one of the best directed movies ever made?"
You throw on "Bullitt" for the 1968-ness of it all (it's the apolitical flip-side of the coin to Haskell Wexler's roiling docudrama "Medium Cool"), as well as the...

What do you get when you cross a glossy all-star business drama with a kinky Italian horror flick, a German crime procedural, and “Fiddler on the Roof?” That insane mix may sound too good to be true, but it’s not — it’s a movie that actually exists. It’s called “Bloodline,” it was released by Paramount in 1979, and after years of intermittent accessibility on home video, it’s now available in a beautiful Blu-ray edition from the boutique label Vinegar Syndrome.
At the time of its release, “Bloodline” wasn’t a success by any criteria, but it was a major release thanks to an international cast consisting of Audrey Hepburn, Ben Gazzara, James Mason, Romy Schneider, Omar Sharif, Beatrice Straight (just a few years after her Oscar-winning turn in “Network”), Irene Papas and others. The No. 1 Texas Longhorns will look to get their first victory as a member of the SEC Conference as they welcome the Mississippi State Bulldogs to Dkr-Texas Memorial Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 28. For the second week in a row, it is expected that Ut’s starting quarterback, and one-time Heisman Trophy favorite, Quinn Ewers will miss his second-straight game. Ben 10, the super famous cartoon that shaped millions of kids’ childhoods – and continues to do so – has once again dodged a major bullet that could have seriously hindered its reputation: A live-action film. Warner Bros. announced this in the wake of events that seemingly confirmed that the animated projects just weren’t enough for them to derive enough profits and satisfaction.

However, it seems like the motion picture entertainment company’s wish to milk this cow to the core has fallen short, as exclusive reports reveal that the long-overdue Ben Tennyson movie has finally been canceled. Of course, this news comes as a displeasure to very few, considering how fans have already had enough of this character live through its 2 previously failed films.

“Thank you. Thank you so much. It’s very humbling. It really is, and I appreciate this. Because I just don’t get enough attention,” said Jean Smart accepting her Emmy tonight, nicely in character as the self-centered comedian trying to stay relevant that she plays in the HBO/Max comedy series Hacks.
“I will never be able to thank you enough for thinking of me for this incredible role,” she said, thanking everyone “at HBO, no, Max, no H — I’m sorry, just what we needed, another network.”
(Pay TV channel HBO contributed its name to Warner Bros. Discovery’s streamer HBO Max, which was then rebranded to just Max.)

This month marks the return of one of the most twisted beloved modern movie characters: Betelgeuse. Of course, we all know the bio-exorcist by his easier-to-spell name, Beetlejuice. After over three decades, Beetlejuice is back with the long-awaited and appropriately named sequel "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice." You already know that most (though not all) of the cast of the original 1988 Tim Burton horror-comedy is back, including Michael Keaton as the Juice himself. One big talking point Keaton has hit on in the pre-release marketing is that, in all the years of development, he pushed hard to ensure that his character was...not in a lot of the movie. It's not just false modesty -- Beetlejuice is only in 17 minutes of the movie bearing his name, but he makes a massive impact all the same. And Keaton's performance as Beetlejuice is just one of many that manages to be memorable and iconic without being overbearing.

College football is back for the 2024-25 season. With all the changes to the NCAA conferences over the past few years, along with constantly shifting broadcast rights, it can be tough to know the best way to watch your favorite team. But don’t worry, here’s all the info you need.
Unfortunately, you can’t watch any of the 2024 college football season with Prime Video. Although Prime Video is well-known for picking up sports like “Thursday Night Football” during the NFL regular season, it didn’t grab any of the broadcast rights for this year’s college football season. That doesn’t mean things won’t change in the future as Prime Video gets deeper into live sports, but as of right now, you can’t watch any NCAA football with this service.

Venu Sports was set to be a major factor in the upcoming NFL and NCAA football seasons, but thanks to a judge's preliminary injunction, the new streamer will be stuck on the sidelines. It’s not a question of when Venu enters the scene, but whether it can launch at all.

Meghan Markle spent her birthday on an interview about a new initiative for her Archewell Foundation, but it seemed that it did not go how she wanted it to.
The Parents’ Network launched with an interview with Jane Pauley of the CBS Sunday Morning for its start on Sunday, August 4.
The Parents’ Network focuses on the online bullying of children and helps the parents affected by it. But one family whose son died by suicide was also interviewed.
Jane Pauley used the interview with the parents to surprise Meghan Markle with a line of questioning she was not expecting.
As Monsters and Critics reported, Jane took the liberty of asking Meghan about her suicidal ideations, much to a shocked reaction by Meghan.
Meghan admitted she “wasn’t expecting it” when Jane asked her about her feelings of suicide, and reports are surfacing that Meghan later threw a fit over the questions.

The Duchess of Sussex explained why she’s previously been open about experiencing suicidal thoughts while she and Prince Harry launched The Parents’ Network through their Archewell Foundation.
“When you’ve been through any level of pain or trauma, I believe part of our healing journey (certainly part of mine) is being able to be really open about it,” she told CBS News. “And you know, I haven’t really scraped the surface on my experience. But I do think that I would never want someone else to feel that way. And I would never want someone else to be making those sort of plans. And I would never want someone else to not be believed.

Faye Dunaway’s career has had its series of ups-and-downs. She’s won an Academy-Award, an Emmy, three Golden Globes, a BAFTA, starred in classic films such as “Chinatown,” “Network,” and “Bonnie and Clyde,” but has also been dragged for her contentious on-set behavior. Her infamy hit a fever pitch after playing fellow challenging starlet Joan Crawford in the cult hit “Mommie Dearest,” then was reignited as a result of her flub during the 2017 Oscar Ceremony, where she and Warren Beatty unknowingly announced “La La Land” as winner of Best Picture instead of the actual recipient, “Moonlight.”
This past July, HBO released the documentary “Faye,” which aimed to explain the root of Dunaway’s “difficult” personality. In a recent interview with The Independent, Dunaway opened up on the process of exploring her life and revealing parts of herself she’d worked to keep hidden.

Exclusive: Good Morning Football is getting ready to return to NFL Network after a hiatus that saw the daytime show move from New York to LA.
Kyle Brandt, who has been with the sports show since its premiere in 2016, took some time between rehearsals ahead of the relaunch to talk to Deadline about the show’s changes and how he would handle being bicoastal.
Brandt will continue to co-host the show alongside Jamie Erdahl, Peter Schrager, and newcomers Akbar Gbajabiamila and Sherree Burruss. However, the morning show host is splitting his time between LA and NY, which he says will not be difficult.
“What’s difficult to do is to wake up at five in the morning and have about six minutes to come up with something original to say about Dak Prescott,” he told us. “I had a six-hour flight to get here, I have 50 things to say about Dak Prescott.

Masashi Kishimoto is known as a master crafter of characters, and deservedly so. Naruto is not only famous for its battles and jutsus but also for its beautiful character development arcs. Kishimoto believes in giving every character a twist, and he has done the same with characters like Sasuke and Itachi Uchiha.
But you would be shocked to know how indecisive the mangaka actually was. He did not have a solidified plan for the manga and even the most important characters were being built per chapter rather than being planned from the beginning.
Masashi Kishimoto Never Planned Sasuke’s Family Until Much Later in Naruto Sasuke Uchiha | Naruto | Studio Pierrot
In an interview, Masashi Kishimoto admitted that back when he had begun Naruto, he had not planned too far ahead. In fact, he was creating things as he went. And this also applies to the backstories of some major characters.

Amazon MGM Studios has entered into a multi-year film partnership with Scott Stuber, the former head of film at Netflix. As part of the pact, the streamer and studio will finance and release movies from Stuber’s new production company under United Artists, a languishing label that once operated under the auspice of MGM. In its heyday, United Artists released movies like “The Pink Panther,” “Rocky” “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,” “Network” and the James Bond films. The agreement calls for Stuber and his soon-to-be launched company to produce several films annually. They will be released both theatrically and via Prime Video, Amazon’s streaming service.
Stuber’s new company will be based on Amazon MGM Studios’ Culver City lot. The pact is a first-look one, giving Amazon MGM Studios the initial crack at the projects Stuber develops. In addition, Stuber will be involved in all projects released by the new UA.
