After Walker barges into her apartment we see that it is fully furnished. But later we that some furniture is gone, and the living room is bare. Then when the money man comes it's back to normal. Why?
Both feature films were based on the novel "The Hunter" written in 1962 by Donald E. Westlake under the pseudonym Richard Stark. "Point Blank" (1967) stars Lee Marvin as "Walker". In "Payback" (1999), Mel Gibson is called "Porter". The name of the original character in the novel was Parker.
