The violence in the film is tame by today's standards but it is still fairly brutal and graphic for its time, being made in 1966.
Numerous people are shot throughout the film. Blood is occasionally shown and sometimes it isn't. Despite this, some viewers could find the shootings violent and disturbing.
A woman is whipped several times in a violent scene. This leaves bloody cuts on her back.
Several unarmed peasants are shot, during a game. One bleeds from the back of his head. This is disturbing due to the casual and undisturbed nature of the men shooting the peasants
A spy gets his ear cut off and then it's fed to him. This is shown and it's extremely bloody and graphic.
A man is shot in the eye, this is extremely bloody but brief.
A man has his hands smashed to bits. It's mostly onscreen, you see the results in detail and it's very graphic and bloody.

Despite being tame by today's standards, it is nonetheless a very violent and graphic movie especially for 1966.
One of the villains is ruthless and violent. A scene shows him shooting innocent men as they try and flee.
A lot of defenseless people are shot in a rather brutal way. A woman is whipped and you'll see her scream, which could be frightening for very young children.
This film can be frightening for squeamish or young people.
The hand smashing scene could be disturbing or frightening to some
