Alicia Vikander is a Swedish actress, dancer, and producer. She was born and raised in Gothenburg, Västra Götalands län, Sweden, to Maria Fahl, an actress of stage and screen, and Svante Vikander, a psychiatrist. Through her mother, she is one-quarter Finnish, and had a maternal great-aunt who moved from Finland to Sweden to escape World War II. Vikander began acting as a child in minor stage productions at The Göteborg Opera, and trained as a ballet dancer at the Royal Swedish Ballet School in Stockholm, and the School of American Ballet in New York. She began her professional acting career by appearing in Swedish short films and television series, and first gained recognition in Northern Europe for her role as Josefin Björn-Tegebrandt in the TV drama Second Avenue (2007). Vikander made her feature film debut in Pure (2009), for which she won the Guldbagge Award for Best Actress. She attracted widespread recognition in 2012 for portraying Princess Ekaterina "Kitty" Alexandrovna Shcherbatskaya in Joe Wright's film adaptation of Anna Karenina (2012), and Queen Caroline Mathilde in the acclaimed Danish film A Royal Affair (2012), receiving a BAFTA Rising Star Award nomination for her breakthrough. She went on to star in the 2013 Swedish drama film Hotel (2013)and appeared in the Julian Assange biopic The Fifth Estate (2013) that same year. In 2014 and 2015, Vikander achieved global recognition and acclaim for her roles as activist Vera Brittain in Testament of Youth (2014), an AI in Ex Machina (2014), for which she was nominated for the Golden Globe and BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actress, and painter Gerda Wegener in The Danish Girl (2015), for which she received the Academy Award and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Supporting Actress.

Stellan Skarsgård was born in Gothenburg, Västra Götalands län, Sweden, to Gudrun (Larsson) and Jan Skarsgård. He became a star in his teens through the title role in the TV-series Bombi Bitt och jag (1968). Between the years 1972-88 he was employed at The Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm, where he participated in "Vita rum" (1988), August Strindberg's "Ett drömspel" (1986) and "Mäster Olof" (1988). Simultaneously Skarsgård did outstanding film roles, notably in The Simple-Minded Murderer (1982) by Hans Alfredson and with Fred Ward in Noon Wine (1985). The fantastic performance gave him both a well-earned Guldbagge and Silver Berlin Bear. He portrayed the Skagen-painter Sören Kröyer in Hip hip hurra! (1987) and the Swedish ambassador Raoul Wallenberg in God afton, herr Wallenberg (1990), both directed by Kjell Grede. Codename Coq Rouge (1989) and The Democratic Terrorist (1992) he played Jan Guillou's Swedish superagent Carl Hamilton. He also had the leading part in the Oscar nominated The Ox (1991) directed by the world-famous cinematographer Sven Nykvist. Skarsgård did his first (but small) role in an big American film with The Unbearable Lightness of Being (1988). The role of Captain Tupolev in The Hunt for Red October (1990) was at supposed to be biggest part in a Hollywood-film, but unfortunately it was cut down. His breakthrough instead came with Lars von Trier's Breaking the Waves (1996) opposite newcomer Emily Watson. After that Skarsgård got several supporting roles in American films, such as in My Son the Fanatic (1997), Gus Van Sant's Good Will Hunting (1997) and Steven Spielberg's Amistad (1997).

A multi-award-winning writer and actor, Bo Svenson was born in Sweden - the only child of a Jewish, Russian-born big band leader mother and a father who was the Swedish King's personal driver and aide-de-camp. At 17, he emigrated by himself to the US. After serving six years as a US Marine, he was pursuing a Ph.D. in MetaPhysics and paying the rent with odd acting gigs when he was hired to replace Paul Newman as Robert Redford's co-star in "The Great Waldo Pepper".

During his fifty years in Hollywood, he has worked with over 100 Academy Award winners/nominees. Since appearing in Quentin Tarantino's "Kill Bill" and "Inglourious Basterds" (the latter being Tarantino's version of one of his favorite films of all time, "The Inglorious Bastards" in which Bo starred), Bo has focused on his first love - writing. His screenplays have won and/or been selected more than thirty times by major film festivals.

An accomplished athlete, he has competed in world championships in judo and in Olympic selections in yachting. A 5th degree black belt in judo and a black belt holder in karate as well as aikido, he is past Chairman of USA Judo Masters and has been inducted into the Martial Arts Masters Hall of Fame. He is active in community service causes and was Sports Commissioner at the 2015 Special Olympics World Games at his Alma Mater UCLA.

Since 1975, he has been President/CEO of MagicQuest Entertainment, a California motion picture development and production company that also provides consulting services to actors and script advice to writers.

He is also owner and CEO of the British Columbia film and television production company, CanAm Film Corp., and the Norwegian corporation, Den Norske Arv A/S. He was Chairman of the Board/CEO of Motion Picture Group of America (1984-2004).

Gorgeous and voluptuous brunette beauty Britt Christina Marinette Lindberg was born on December 6, 1950, in Gothenburg, Sweden, to a working-class family, with one sister and two brothers.

When she was a teenager, she lived in the isle of Hisingen, At high-school, she studied Latin and planned on being an archaeologist. Christina Lindberg is especially memorable as British spy and gambler Christina, in the Japanese crime pink movie Sex & Fury (1973). She appeared in two soft-core flicks for acclaimed adult picture writer-director Joseph W. Sarno: the lackluster Swedish Wildcats (1972) and the gloriously bizarre Young Playthings (1972). Her most enduring cult cinema fame stems from her outstanding performance as Frigga, a much abused and traumatized one-eyed mute junkie prostitute, who exacts a harsh retribution on her tormentors in the brutal and controversial revenge opus Thriller: A Cruel Picture (1973).

In the early 1970s, she was the onetime girlfriend of Swedish king King Carl XVI Gustaf.

Her acting career began to falter in the mid 1970s because of her refusal to do hardcore sex scenes. Christina studied journalism in the late 1970s and subsequently wrote articles for various men's magazines. Lindberg returned to movies in 2000, in a cameo of her Frigga character in the over-the-top parody Sex, Lies and Video Violence (2000).

Christina is an animal rights activist, an environmentalist, and a vegetarian. She owns two Siamese cats and is a keen mushroom picker, and shared her knowledge in 1993 in a a 20-minute short, "Christina's Mushroom School".

Christina Lindberg lives in Stockholm, Sweden. She's the owner and editor-in-chief of the aviation magazine "Flygrevyn," which she took over following her fiancee Bo Sehlberg's death in 2004.

Roy Arne Lennart Andersson is a Swedish film director, best known for his distinctive style of absurdist humor and melancholic depictions of human life. His personal style is characterized by long takes, and stiff caricaturing of Swedish culture and grotesque. Over his career Andersson earned prizes from the Cannes Film Festival, Berlin International Film Festival and Venice International Film Festival.

Andersson spent much of his professional life working on advertisement spots, directing over 400 commercials and two short films; directing six feature-length films in six decades. He made his feature film debut with A Swedish Love Story (1970) followed by Giliap (1975). Anderson received the Cannes Film Festival Jury Prize for Songs from the Second Floor (2000). His film A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence (2014) won the Venice International Film Festival's Golden Lion. He other notable films include You, the Living (2007), and About Endlessness (2019).

Essy Persson was born on June 15, 1941 in Gothenburg, Sweden, as Essy Ingeborg Vilhelmina Persson. She is an actress primarily known for the leading role as "Siv" in the world famous feature film, "Jag en kvinna" (I - a woman). She began working as a secretary studying acting at a private theatre school. Eventually in 1963 she was cast in a play at Riksteater, Stockholm and then she moved on to perform at Stockholm City Theatre. She was something of a male pipe dream. Unusually attractive with a very modern emancipated sexy look. In 1965 she starred in "Jag en kvinna". The blockbuster that was to confuse the sexy film character "Siv" with the actress Essy Persson. Fed up with always being casted as light-footed sexy women, she turned to art. Essy Persson studied at the College of Fine Arts 1981-1984. Since then she has mostly been active as a visual artist. Essy Persson has, up till now, appeared in 17 feature films and television productions.

Ulla Jacobsson was an International Swedish Actress and became world-famous with the film One Summer of Happiness (1951) (English title: "One Summer of Happiness", German title: "Sie tanzte nur einen Sommer") and Smiles of a Summer Night (1955) ("Smiles of a Summer Night"), which Zarah Leander made as a musical in Vienna and also the Swedish version in Stockholm. She became better known in the UK for her part of the daughter of a missionary (played by Jack Hawkins) in Zulu (1964). She married an Austrian doctor and lived in Vienna, where she died of cancer in 1982.

Josefin Neldén was born on 17 December 1984 in Gothenburg, Västra Götalands län, Sweden. She is an actress and producer, known for The Restaurant (2017), The Swedish Torpedo (2024) and The Head (2020).

Sven Wollter was born on 11 January 1934 in Gothenburg, Västra Götalands län, Sweden. He was an actor and writer, known for The 13th Warrior (1999), The Man from Majorca (1984) and Man on the Roof (1976). He was married to Lisa Wede, Viveka Seldahl, Annie Jenhoff and Evabritt Strandberg. He died on 10 November 2020 in Luleå, Norrbottens län, Sweden.

Björn Stein was born on 17 November 1970 in Annedal, Gothenburg, Västra Götalands län, Sweden. He is a writer and director, known for Whiskey on the Rocks (2024), Underworld: Awakening (2012) and Midnight Sun (2016).

Helena Paparizou was born in Borås, Sweden, to Greek immigrant parents Georgios and Efrosini Paparizou and was raised in Örgryte, Gothenburg. Her father is from Volos and mother is from Karditsa. She has a sister Rita and brother Dino.

Although equaled by Sakis Rouvas's effort "Shake It" in 2004, it was Greece's highest place in the competition until Helena won the contest as a solo artist in 2005. Antique's success in the Eurovision Song Contest led to them recording multiple platinum albums, playing a European tour, and collaborating with many other Greek artists.
