As per the latest box office update, Interstellar re-release has registered advance booking sales of 2.01 crore gross (excluding blocked seats). More than 50K tickets have already been sold from 727 shows across the nation. Christopher Nolan’s epic sci-fi drama is still two days away from the big release, and the trends are mind-boggling.

The last 48 hours are usually the most crucial. Cine-goers across the nation are super excited to witness the 10th-highest worldwide grosser again on the big screens.

A24 is bringing “Eddington,” Ari Aster’s hotly-anticipated contemporary Western thriller starring Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, Emma Stone and Austin Butler, to the European Film Market in Berlin this month, Variety has learned.

Also starring Deirdre O’Connell, Micheal Ward and Clifton Collins Jr., the film is now in post-production and is believed to revolve around a couple stranded in a small New Mexico town. Though they are initially welcomed, the town takes a sinister turn by nightfall. Phoenix portrays the town’s sheriff with ambitious dreams.

Variety also understands that “Eddington” could be in contention for Cannes debut — which would make it Aster’s first film as director to bow at the festival — with A24 targeting a summer release.

Production on “Eddington” kicked off in March 2024, with Aster writing, directing and producing alongside Lars Knudsen under their Square Peg banner. Two-time Academy Award nominee Darius Khondji is the director of photography.

Sunrise on the Reaping, publishing on March 18, is the anticipated new novel in the worldwide bestselling The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins. The book will take place in the world of Panem 24 years prior to the events of The Hunger Games, on the morning reaping of the 50th Hunger Games, also known as the second Quarter Quell.

The 50th Hunger Games are noteworthy given that the victor was Haymitch Abernathy, the only winner from District 12 prior to Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark’s win years later. John Leguizamo is the latest star to join the cast of Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey.” He will appear alongside previously announced cast members Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, Benny Safdie and Jon Bernthal.

Universal shared last month that the film “is a mythic action epic shot across the world using brand new IMAX film technology. The film brings Homer’s foundational saga to IMAX film screens for the first time.”

Homer’s ancient Greek epic poem “The Odyssey” remains one of the oldest pieces of literature still read by modern audiences. It chronicles the story of Greek hero Odysseus during his tumultuous journey home following the Trojan War.

“The Odyssey” is due in theaters on July 17, 2026. Nolan is set to write and will produce with Emma Thomas under their Syncopy banner.

Filmmaker and actor Benny Safdie is the latest to join Christopher Nolan’s next project ‘The Odyssey.’

Safdie joins the previously announced cast of Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron and Jon Bernthal.

The project is an adaptation of the Greek epic poem written by Homer. When making the reveal about the project in December, Universal described it as a “mythic action epic” shot worldwide using brand new Imax film technology.

It says a great deal about the anticipation surrounding Christopher Nolan’s latest film, The Odyssey, that respected Hollywood trade outlets are speculating over which specific Mediterranean islands the director is likely to film on.

Will he film on the Egadi archipelago, or perhaps the Eiolian islands? Variety's sources have suggested they’re potential locations, as is Favignana in Sicily.

According to RadarOnline, a composite image used in the article ‘We Can Bury Anyone: Inside a Hollywood Smear Machine’ featured a date of December 16, 2024, potentially indicating prior knowledge of Lively’s impending legal action.

The report, published on December 21, followed Lively’s formal complaint filed with the California Civil Rights Department on December 20.
