Born on September 22, 1988 in Nuernberg, Germany, Max Huang is an actor of German and Chinese ethnicity who can most recently be seen as 'Kung Lao' in Simon McQuoid's Mortal Kombat Reboot (2021) for Warner Bros and HBO Max. Starting his career working with Jackie Chan and his stunt team, Max has gone on to work on and appear in over 20 productions in English, German and Chinese. Other credits include Police Story 2013, The Foreigner and Matthew Vaughn's Kingsman: The Secret Service
Max has since created and perfected his own unique form of contemporary screen combat. In 2019, he made his filmmaking debut with the award-winning German original action short, No Way Out, which he directed and starred in. Outside of film, Max has practiced Wushu under Shanghai Wushu Team member Wang Peng Cheng and went on to win Gold at The German Wushu Nationals in 2009.
