Lighting Up Lives
Lighting Up Lives was commissioned by Sunderland AFC as part of their bid to be a venue for the 2018 World Cup. It was conceived, written, produced and directed by Neville Farmer for DAYtime Entertainment in 2009 and features the music of Dave Stewart, which he gave permission to use for free in support of his hometown, Sunderland.
The six minute film was designed to promote the facilities and landscape of the North of England but most importantly, the passion of the people for the Beautiful Game. It stars six young football academy players in the strip of the participating teams. The film helped push Sunderland to the top of the list of venues chosen, should England have won the right to stage the cup.
