Alex Coker plays the role of a U.S. Army Honor Guard Team Leader calling out the commands for the Firing Party who shoots three volleys of gunfire.
In real life, Alex Coker, was a former member of the prestigious "Old Guard" 3rd US Infantry-Presidential Honor Guard in Washington, DC. His casket team buried many soldiers in the Arlington National Cemetery.
Before the scenes were shot in this movie, Alex trained up the actors in weapons drill for hours ahead of time in order to give the team crisp flawless movements on cue during the filming. Coker also trained actors and played a role in the film, "Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk" as the Honor Guard Team Leader.
