The Green Glove (1952)
This is not a film noir. Still an entertaining movie, however.
There may be some elements of noir here, but really this is just an action movie. It lacks many of the necessary ingredients to be a noir.
The File on Thelma Jordon (1949)
A great Film Noir !
This movie is tense, dramatic and keeps the action moving. Never a dull moment. It ticks pretty much all, if not all, of the boxes that Film Noir fans are looking for:
--lots of action
--lying and deception
--a femme fatale that brings down the male character
--hair-raising scenes
After an accidental murder that inadvertently involves a venerable police detective, he covers it up. But a rookie detective he is assigned to train, and partner with, takes an all-too-eager interest in the case. As the evidence stacks up, the situation unravels for the police detective.
The detective displays a very Noir-male persona: the chiseled jaw, quick verbal retorts, the ability to think well on his feet, a great knowledge of the police world, and a tragic affinity for women who are bad for him.
Crossing Borders (2009)
Absolutely terrible.
Don't watch this. Poorly made. Predictable.
You will learn nothing.
