Love the movie. One of the best movies I have seen. Excellent story and good screenplay to go with it. However, need to be patient to follow the story line effectively through. Not a simple straightforward story which we usually see in movies. Good family crime drama. It is a thriller reaching the climax at the end. Like the ending too. The starting and the ending of the story blend together very well. In fact all the actors and actresses portrayed their parts very well indeed. The story is adapted from a French novel and movie. Clive Owen did a very good job as the other brother. Good choice of 60s music back ground. If you like simple straightforward action movie, then this is definitely not your type. Watch it patiently and you will love the movie!

Good action story. The filming is rather amateurish giving the viewer a headache watching the movie with so much camera shakes and sways which was done on purpose for unnecessary effects. This is aggravated by scenes switching back & forth. Luckily we have the main character's beard to help out. (The main actor with full beard means the scene is from the past, If it shows the man just with mustache then it is at the present!). Otherwise this is not a bad movie. The acting is quite good and full of fast moving action. The movie is all about killing and showed how it can be done horribly. It should be classified as adults only. It can also be classified as a horror movie.

This is a well acted movie with an interesting unusual story. Russell Crowe did a good job acting as a very resourceful husband in the movie. However, I enjoyed watching it until it reached the part when his selfish suicidal wife nearly caused him everything by trying to jump out of the car. Very annoying part of the movie played by Elizabeth Banks. If she wanted to commit suicide again she should do it without involving her husband after all his efforts to save her. My rating of the movie drops from top rating to rather low after seeing this part of the movie! I believed the French version did not include this irritating part which really insult the intelligence of the audience. I still recommend this movies to those who like action thriller but just ignore that particular part of the movie.

Just watched this film on TV and love it. Tilda Swinton's acting is extremely good here. Most actresses tend to over-act in such a role but Tilda's acting is just perfect. The story line is good, fast moving and interesting. Good directing also judging from the high acting standard as a whole here. Surprised that this movie did not win any other awards other than the British. The movie happened in United States and Mexico and good choice of filming sites. Only thing I can suggest is to have a more dynamic tittle for the film. I have not watched this film until now because I was not aware it was going to be such a nice thriller type of film.

Best Movie for a long long time

Just seen the movie in 3-D and was really impressed by the visual effect, acting, cinematography and screenplay. However, I do agree with some reviewers that the story is rather common and it, in fact, reminds me of the past British invasion of Malaya for Tin and Rubber and at that time, there were also guerrillas fighting against the invaders! I particularly like the 3-D effect which is really astonishing. The scenes are breathtaking but some are hard to believe like over hanging mountains which is against the law of gravity since the people there are not floating but walking and running on the ground. I was told that the roots of the magic trees are responsible for holding up the mountains which is aceptable since this is a fantasy film. I guess such type of fantasy film should go with a simple story. It turns out to be the best movie I have seen for sometime and will certainly recommend it to my friends.

Some Boring characters

I have managed to finish the first series since I have bought it. Some stories are quite good but unfortunately I find certain characters too stereotype and in fact boring. Dr. Spencer Reid should have some other characteristic to make the character more interesting. He should not be so boring and a little humble maybe. He even speaks in monotone with little facial expression. Penelope Garcia should make her character more interesting and less irritating too. If you have watched "24", you will know what I mean as the characters there are very interesting, often funny and likable. I read that Mandy and Paget will be leaving the series. Pity, as I do like them.

Best Movie from a master of martial art

Thoroughly enjoy the movie. Great story and excellent fighting choreography not unlike Bruce Lee's movies. Jet Li is much better than his films done in Hong Kong where his dialects have to be dubbed into Cantonese. If you understand Mandarin, you will love the film even more with Jet Li so at home speaking in Mandarin. Unfortunately, in Malaysia, the movie was obtained from Hong Kong and thus was dubbed in Cantonese. It thus did not do well in cinemas here. This also happened to "Crouching Tiger" with disappointing result. The cinemas here have decided to look into this. In future Jet Li and other well known film makers should stop their films from being dubbed in Cantonese to prevent this happening. I therefore have to wait and watch it on DVD and am glad I did and enjoyed it very much.
