Mad Heidi (2022)
No regrets watching this
Absolutely love this film. I've waited 4 years for this movie to release and it has finally arrived. The cheesiest story with great acting, action, movie references and a spectacular ending. Alice Lucy played one Badass Heidi.
The Swiss team have managed to take a kids story that we all love and make their own remarkable and surprising interpretation of it. So many twists, turns, comedic moments that will have you laughing so much. Violence in this is off the charts and not held back whatsoever. Hope that the team will be able to continue to make films that will bring excitement and joy as this one has.
The Cuphead Show! (2022)
Freaking Entertaining
Provides excitement throughout an episode and has a classic vintage style and vintage music which provides a major throwback to old school animations. It can only go up from now.
American Horror Stories (2021)
This series deserves its place in the world
If you are a fan of anthologies and want a different story every night, this is for you. The only setback was unnecessarily making the first 2 episodes one story where they didn't really explain questions that we've been asking since season 1 of AHS original series.
Shingeki no Kyojin (2013)
Major pacing issues in the first 3 seasons, but improves in season 4
AOT is a good story with good characters and good animations. The major issue is one of pace. The first 3 seasons are a major drag fest. The first major battle didn't have to be 9 episodes and there was only one arc in the 1st season with powering through. Regarding the first 3 seasons, the last half of season 1 and the last 2 episodes of season 3 are worth the watch. Season 4 is the best season overall mainly because of MAPPA overseeing the release as opposed to WIT Studio. If you have pacing issues, watch the compilation movies.
Warrior (2019)
A great kung fu story from the Martial Arts legend himself, Bruce Lee
I found this show instantly fun. Has a good cast, a great atmosphere and a brilliant setting. Amazing that Bruce Lee came up with the story and I'm sure that it will be even greater the further it goes
Lovecraft Country (2020)
The biggest disappointment for 2020
As a reader and a fan of the book, I was absolutely disappointed. I can't believe that the author of the book did this to his masterpiece. It only had about 4 good episodes until it crashed and burned in the end. I will never trust Jordan Peele and J. J. Abrams again with an adaptation
9-1-1 (2018)
Ryan Murphy at his finest
One of the best shows I've ever seen. A very intensely brilliant series from Ryan Murphy.
Every episode got my heart pumping and literally on the edge of my seat. Great characters with brilliant stories and interesting situations that First Responders (dispatchers, paramedics, police officers and firefighters) encounter.
The Boys (2019)
A brilliant adaptation from Amazon
One of the greatest series I've ever seen. Shows the idea of the superheroes as being a bad person in other's eyes very brilliantly. The comic-to-screen, was superbly presented. Acting was top quality. Effects are all out insane. Story is captivating. I see this show continuing for a while
Guava Island (2019)
Exceeded my expectations
Gave me a feel of Michael Jackson's Moonwalker. Could have been longer, however it had a very brief story and great music
Love, Death & Robots (2019)
Freaking Gold
NSFW has never been this good. With stories that contain different themes that will appeal to different people, this is one Netflix show that you don't want to miss.
Deadly Class (2018)
Does the comic justice and definitely something for everyone
I read the comics regularly and I can say that the series has surpassed my expectations. Not only does a great job at adapting from comic to screen but also expands on certain storylines that I enjoyed. Definitely one for the older generation but will also draw the new generation with regards to 80's pop culture. 10 out of 10
Hanna (2019)
Very detailed yet sceptical
I really enjoyed this episode. I would say about roughly the first 20 minutes of the original movie is explained in detail in this first episode. I'm worried that they'll just be retelling the same story but I am excited to see if they expand on the Antagonist's operation as it was just mentioned in the movie. The cast was also very good and I'm eager to see where it leads
