FBI: Kayla (2022)
Mixing it up, but an ingredient needs to go
When we first met Nina, she pushed hard, and didn't care what others thought...kinda like how Tiffany did this episode. Where in this episode, Nina was more submissive, compassionate. But in just the previous episode, she questioned her partner, OA, a seasoned FBI agent and someone with a strong attention to detail.
But Tiffany needs to go. Every time you turn around, she's playing the "race" card, even against her own teammates. Constantly making assumptions about her caucasian team mates. The way she's come across, there's no way she would have made is passed FBI screening like this. You'd think one of the teammates would have talked to her by now, calling her out on her behavior, or even gone to Jubal or Izzy about it.
And I get that they needed Kayla to get the gun in this episode, but any law enforcement officer/agent with an ounce of common sense, would not have sent someone in the way Tiffany pushed. She's also the one who took the bag to obtain the gun from Kayla. How do you miss a tennis racket not being in the bag? Neither Tiffany or Nina thought it relevant to relay to Kayla that she needed to grab her racket as well?
Sloppy writing on this episode, and as of late. Did they stop using their FBI advisors?
A League of Their Own (2022)
What did I just watch?
My wife and I were fans of the 1992 movie. Figured this was just an attempt at a TV series trying to cash in off a 32 yr old success movie. We're we wrong. There won't be any cashing in. We couldn't even get through all of EP 1, it's that bad. We tried to keep an open mind, but the writing is bad with language modernized nfor the viewer instead of using time era language, the scene's feel forced, lines poorly delivered and semi out of context, and just overall bad attempt at trying to tv adapt from the movie. Save yourself the time, go watch the movie that was a success. The only good part in the episode 1 was the salon scene... that's it.
Assembly Required (2021)
Great concept, but feels forced
Love the concept of the show. Love seeing the builders create unique concepts. But the chemistry between Allen & Karn is painful to watch. They did better years ago in home improvement. Now, a lot of their jokes are painful to hear and feel forced. The delivery on almost everything they do falls flat. If you can get past this, it's not a bad show.
The Glorious Seven (2019)
I will never get this time of my life back
I'm usually one to give a movie a chance, but within 30 min of the movie, I already started to lose interest. The script seems okay, and that's being kind. But the acting... nowhere close to believable and excruciatingly painful to watch. Like getting root canal done with no freezing and the dentist having caffeine shakes would be less painful. Save yourself, don't watch this movie, not even if you're drink or on something.
