Irul (2021)
Had potential, but too many flaws
***Spoilers***Was so excited to see a new flick with Fahad, Soubin, & Darshana. I actually enjoyed the build up to the couple getting stranded. I thought Unni's character was so bizarre. The setting, the dialogue, just did not seem realistic. There were lots of cliche horror movie type effects like startling and overdoing the horror music. Archana must have said the name Alex at least 10,000 times in the movie. It got so unbearable. Her character was so flat. I actually felt Soubin acted pretty good as a possessive, irritable boyfriend. Some scenes dragged out too long. There could've been more insight into Unni's character. Couldn't Archana have questioned how Unni can be a thief, but claims to be scared of the dark?! Did not like the overall flow of the movie. I appreciate the attempt into making a different type of movie. Long way to go.

do not waste your time or money!
I don't think this movie even deserves a 1. This was one of THE worst movies I have watched in long, long time. There are just way too many plots going on in this movie, none which really relate to each other. As far as this being a copy of the movie "Memento", the only similarities are the parts about the main character's short term memory loss, his Polaroid, and the tattoos. First off, this movie is unbelievably long...over 3 hours. Second, the acting was SO poor. I was the biggest fan of Aamir Khan, but this movie just ruined it for me. I can't believe he chose to act in this role. I think the heroine in the movie did a way better job than him, sad to say. Third, the songs were a JOKE. People were laughing at the songs because it was so hideous. Then there were the special effects during the fighting scenes that were overdone and very repetitive throughout the movie... Gimme a break, guys. It's as if they just discovered those effects because they couldn't stop using them! I can go on forever about how bad this movie was. On top of all this, I had to deal with the idiots in the theater who felt the need to comment on every other scene. I felt sorry for the non-Indians in the theater who had to put up with the stupidity of those who couldn't keep their comments to themselves. Are people's standards so low for them to make a big hype about this movie?! This is utter crap!
Please don't bother wasting your time and money. I'm really upset that we fell for all the hype about this movie :\
Delhii Heights (2007)
Terrible
Please don't waste your time with this movie. There is no drama, no comedy, no thrill, no excitement, no happiness, no sadness...basically it was really difficult to sense any emotions from this movie. There's hardly a climax to this story. I was waiting and waiting for the good part to come around, but that never came around. It was so boring. It had the potential to be a good movie, but they really screwed it up. I was disgusted at how terrible the acting was from the main characters. I liked how they showed the modern side of Delhi. I guess that is the only plus in the entire movie. Songs were horrible except "Tere Bin". Otherwise, save yourselves time & money and do not watch this.
Ente Mamattikkuttiyammakku (1983)
Such a sweet story
This movie brings back so many memories. I used to idolize Shalini as a child. She has got to be one of the best actresses ever (when she was a child, of course). This movie is great for many, many reasons. All of the characters in this movie contribute greatly to this story. It's so incredibly touching, sad, cute, & funny...mostly sad though. To this day, whenever I watch this movie, I get teary-eyed. I wish Malayalam movies today could be more like the older movies...full of emotions and unforgettable characters. Although this movie is old, the story is timeless and it's good for all ages. It's ten times better than the crappy movies they come out with these days!

do not waste your time!
What a crappy movie! The main character in this movie was supposed to be born and brought up in Canada, yet he had a thicker Indian accent than his parents! Is it just me or does Uday look gay in this movie? Also, do all the chicks in Canada dress like sluts? At least that's how it is in this movie. All the females are dressed like strippers. Don't waste your time with this one! The only good thing about this movie is the setting in beautiful Vancouver. Wonder why Bollywood is going through a slump? It's because of movies like this. I miss the good old' days when Hindi movies were actually entertaining!I couldn't even finish this movie because it was so bad. I think Bollywood needs to stop trying to replicate the style of Hollywood because it's just not working out. They need to stick to their roots because that's what makes Indian movies entertaining.
