And Just Like That... (2021)
Every scene feels like a take
I've never noticed this in a show before, but when i watch 'And just like that', it's as if the actors are just going through the script. No flow to the show.. "Action/Cut", next scene, "Action/Cut", next scene.
Also, too many stories going on that aren't very interesting, And nobody is together, they're all living there own little dramas, but their struggles feel fake, not adapted to their characters..
I find myself criticizing the show, instead of being present.. I only watched a few episodes from the original series, I remember the friends being all together with lots of wit and banter. Keeping it light and fun.. Now, it's just a show in the background, I've yet to laugh.
Loot (2022)
It's satire and I love it
It's corny, lite, and enjoyably to watch. A show that makes fun of wealthy you might see on a reality show. Maya's style on comedy makes it all the more fun.
Miranda Sings Live... Your Welcome (2019)
If you're a Miranda fan, you'll love it :) If not, watch the show then watch this.
Colleen Ballinger starts off the show, then transforms into Miranda. If you're a Miranda fan, you'll love it :) If not, watch the show, if you're still not, then at least you tried.
I Feel Bad (2018)
Imperfect would have been a better name
'I feel bad' title is too limited and communicates negativity. Life has its hiccups, 'Imperfect' would have been a better fit as we try to be our best but no matter how much we try, stuff happens. I feel it would have opened up more opportunities for creative writing and character development. As for the show, I only watched the pilot, unfortunately, I didn't discover anything new. The jokes and plot have been played out.. Yes we know the dancing is too sexy for a kid, but it would have been interesting to discover why the kid wanted to dance that way.. Maybe that's not funny but it's interesting. She's trying to be her perfect self, what she understands as beautiful, while the family wants to look like their perfect self, horrified/embarrassed about their daughter/grand daughter dancing. that's life.. Finally, it's bi-national family, Grand parents from India, that should be apparent in its writing.. The cultural nuances would naturally add humor, and it could (should) be done without playing into the stereotypes..
