One Day (2024)
It's okay
Watched it all, enjoyable. Not blown away. It was just lacking.
Didn't think the relationship developments were great. Preferred the supporting actors. The character Emma was too miserable to be likeable really likeable. Enjoyed the story when they weren't trying to force this love chemistry. Just didn't believe it.
Could have been so much better. Zero tears when I should have been digging for the Kleenex. I should have at least been brought to a lump in my throat.
Worth watching, but bland but not completely awful.
Need to watch the movie now to remind me what it's meant to be like.......................
Escape the Night (2016)
Please continue making
My 12 year old started watching this, then I got sucked in. I think it's brilliant, I would love to play an "escape room/house" like this.
People critical of the acting, I think the lack of RADA training works in the favour. I love the blasé attitudes, it adds great humour to it.
I'm not huge into YouTubers, but have so much admiration when looking into the backgrounds of the cast, how successful they are.
I liked this, think it's great fun. Made me laugh, gets a bit intense at times when doing tasks.
If you like role play game shows, you might like this. If you are looking for something deep, meaningful and historically accurate, this may not be for you.
Please make more.
Forever Summer: Hamptons (2022)
Poor Ilan
Love car crash tv, this was a quick binge watch.
If you are looking for something deep and thought provoking, you are in the wrong place.
Good fun, summer drama of locals of the Hamptons. Sunday, hangover, binge tv.
Enjoy.
Broken Child (2000)
Heart wrenching
The moment where you see the baby that was beaten and then died.
This documentary is heartbreaking but happens all around us. So different than reading a neglected child's story.
Antebellum (2020)
Want more
Had no clue what this film was about? Could have been so much longer.
Wow just wow.
Tales from the Loop (2020)
Sci-fi
Truly remarkable.
More or an anthology, mixes Twilight Zone, Outer Limits, Black Mirror, Room 408, Electric Dreams... but so much more raw.
Concepts are fantastic, no cliche AI vs man.
Laughed and cried, acting is superb.
El Internado: Las Cumbres (2021)
Good binge
Can't wait for next season, strong actors, good story. Not watched the original so didn't have any preconceived ideas.
Keeps you hooked, not for younger viewers.
Vivarium (2019)
Obsessed
I don't even know why I like this movie but I am completely obsessed. Watched it several times, I want more. Feel like it needs to be part of a series of books, want alternative Martin's. Ones who loves their mother, this pointless film, has a world that I want to know more about.
If you love random, weird yet in an abstract way, relatable, this film is for you.
