American Psycho (2000)
Classicsoncall clearly was in another mindset
Some people just really have poor attention to detail, classicsoncall being a prime example here. #1 the dvd blood splatter screen you describe is a montage of the opening credits with a food plating sequence. #2 that wasn't Jean (Chloe sevigny) that took the chainsaw at the bottom of the stairwell, it was the prostitute he has previously engaged with. Bateman had an obvious soft spot for Jean that clearly flew above and beyond your head.
Pay more attention if you're gonna attempt to provide cognizant reviews man.
That said, this movie is just as thought provoking now as it was back in 2000, at least you caught on to that.
You Can Never Go Home Again (2022)
Misleading
Every description of this movie implies the teacher 'seduces' the husband. If this is seducing I'd hate to see something like a raping. The husband is smitten with her from the moment he sees her. It's like the only thing he actually did a decent job acting with too, it's completely obvious they scrambled to find the first black lead male they could find for this role just to try and jump on some BLM points. He's terrible in this movie but was not seduced. He was pushed away by his annoying wife that I would cheat on too, good lord she's unbearable. But yeah no seduction. Just consensual sex here.
Instakiller (2018)
Even for lifetime
Very predictable. I had the stalker pinpointed within the first 20 minutes. There were two ok moments in terms of portrayals of real life in one and sheer terror in the other that earned this film its two stars. Dad and female friend are both particularly terrible.
A Bride for Christmas (2012)
Just missed one obvious thing at the end
I knew Jake would end up getting adopted. The moment I heard her ask dad to stop calling her Bolt, I just knew they would pass the name on to him. Such an obvious line to write in! Fun movie though.
