The Marksman (2021)
A marksman who doesn't do any marksmanning..?
The one and only time he holds his rifle as in the picture is literally the opening scene.... 10 seconds long.
Elephant (2020)
Fantastic cinematography
The film was great, let down by some weird type of Johnny Morris narration, to be honest I lasted 15 minutes before it became unbearable. I'm gobsmacked they went for that style.
Villain (2020)
A solid 6.
I see Craigs family are leaving some quality reviews...
A decent enough gangster Britflick with the mandatory Craig Fairbrass casting.
Tiger King (2020)
A taste of America...
I wouldn't know where to start but I thought the funniest thing was having a deal with Walmart to take all their spoilt and out of date food and then paying the help with it. Then opening a pizza shop for visitors to the zoo and using the out of date meat on the pizzas.
They were the lesser of the crazy in the film.
The Gentlemen (2019)
It was alright.
Nice nod to The Long Good Friday with the car scene at the end. And the Hands across the ocean quote changed to Sea..?
Jack Ryan: Persona Non Grata (2019)
It's all getting a bit ropey...
Are we expected to believe that the boatman who they made such a song and dance over being the best around goes on a mission where he literally has one job to do but then leaves the boat at the very first sign of trouble to make his way inland for some wierd reason, then can't make it back to the boat he wasn't supposed to leave. Gets left behind, is so relaxed that he can find time to lay down in the jungle for 40 winks, gets his gun and tracker stolen while asleep by a little kid, team returns to rescue him and team leader dies..... Nooo, it's all too much.
Jack Ryan (2018)
I enjoyed the 1st series but the 2nd is already showing cracks.
Are we expected to believe the fella hired because he's a top boatman just leaves the boat and goes on his own mission just when he's meant to be the getaway driver, then is so relaxed after messing the mission up he manages to catch 40 winks, then has his gun and tracking device stolen by a kid and ends up getting his team leader killed..... Nooo, it's too much to ignore.
Spenser Confidential (2020)
No way is it a 7.1
I'm going 4.7. The script seemed a bit ropey all through.
Wolf (2019)
Imdb reckon it's a 6....
Luckily I saw the reviews and thought I'd skim through before wasting my time.... Dodged a bullet there. It's everything everyone says it is.
Triple Frontier (2019)
Charlie Hunnam cannot carry a film.....
We seen a few good films about groups of military running around with bang sticks....... This isn't one of them.
It started with promise but the lacklustre performance of most meant it never really got going, the only thing that kept me watching was the big bucks production and the hope that it might liven up. You know everyone's out of ideas when they actually tell you there's a car chase by heavily armed teenagers coming 10 minutes before it happens, and then the comedy starts. You could easily imagine changing the cast and replacing them with a Van Damm/Steven Seagle combination, that how bad it ended up.
I saw a 8.7 rating somewhere.... I don't know what film they watched, it wasn't this one.
