Terrorstorm (2006)
Good Documentary with Sound Basis for Consideration
As of yet, I've never voted in my lifetime. I've never seen any point to it. By the time I was old enough to vote, I had already come to my own conclusion that indeed the whole political system was corrupt and beyond repair. I was shocked by the contents of this film and had no idea that my original conceptions regarding politics where so benign. I urge everyone to watch this documentary and draw their own conclusions, after all, it's our right as Americans to think and live for ourselves and not let those lusting for power control our destiny. This is not a film to be taken lightly or "blown off" as a bunch of conspiracy propaganda, it is serious information regarding the future of our country and will eventually become common public knowledge one way or the other.
Shane (1953)
A Movie Anyone Would Like
A very good movie, not as well made as my personal favorite (Once Upon A Time In The West), but still a very good movie. This movie is another western that made me feel like I wished I had been born a cowboy. Shane is "so good". "I just love Shane"...stealing a quote from the movie. Shane (Alan Ladd) seems to make you feel at ease without any effort, a real class act, someone you wish you knew personally, and had as a friend. He is the proverbial "good guy". The movie itself is done well, but has only a few real exciting scenes, mostly a display of morals and the struggles of good verses evil. I found some of the characters dialog to be overboard, but not to the excessive. Shane is a very scenic picture, with a few touching moments with Joey, the homesteaders son. I own a copy on video and watch it a couple times a year, Shane is that good. All in all, not to be missed, if you like Alan Ladd or have never seen him before, buy it, rent it, or what for it on TV. It's worth a look.
C'era una volta il West (1968)
One for all time !!!
I thought I knew westerns, I'd seen John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart, Glen Ford, Audie Murphy, Richard Widmark, Alan Ladd, all of them save the day many times. I was wrong, I was 14 yrs old when I went to the local movie house to see this movie in 1969. My grandmother took me, she had always been a huge fan of Henry Fonda's, and even though she didn't care for western's, she dragged me to this one. I'll never forget how engrossed I was from beginning to end. And this one movie was the basis for all my future wish's to have been born a cowboy. Everything about this movie impressed me one way or the other.
Simply put, this movie is the most visually stimulating and engrossing movie I have ever watched.
I have seen plenty of great movies in my in my fifty years of life, but this one, is in my opinion more than a movie, it's a piece of history unfolding in front of your eyes with no censorship or BS added for flavor. True, the movie has been chopped up some for TV and other forms of presentation, but when I was in that theater in 1969, the movie was, to use a semi modern term "AWESOME".
No one, not even if you dislike westerns, should pass on this one.
