Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth is a good start. I applaud him for his efforts in stopping Global Warming.
His aim was to stop Global Warming, yes. But the movie should be more into HOW we can stop it, we all know that its happening. The facts he showed should NOT be taken as law. No one can say exactly what will happen to the Earth in the future, and as such those graphs are only predictions. (With too many variables where the change could be minuscule or major) > It should've had more of how to stop it, less facts
He mentioned that we have stopped many phenomenas before, including the production of CFC's. CFC's are still an issue, yes the modern world has stopped using them, but developing countries still release them.
Another thing that should've been shortened/taken out was the whole "Election 2000" bit. We know what happened, and this movie is about Environmental protection and Global Warming, not playing Politics. Anyway, how could the "Election 2000" bit be important if he's meant to be retired?
With all those graphs showing how the whole world is destined for "doom", he never tells us what the exact measurements are (except for the years), and where the x axis for the graphs is positioned.
He also says the USA and Australia should sign the Kyoto protocol. Firstly, Australia contributes very little compared to the rest of the world in terms of greenhouse gases, and secondly, our economy might not be able to support such a change.
Overall its a good movie, but it definitely shouldn't be taken as truth or gospel. I gave it a 7/10
