Son of a Preacher Man (2016)
Love conquers all!
I have the wonderful fortune to be able to call Tom Goss friend! Although he has been so much more to me than that, he seems to have a sixth sense and know when I'm at my worst and my days they're darkest! He always manages to brighten my day without me even saying a word. This video is an example of what all young people go through! So many people say it's a choice that we are an abomination. Why would anybody choose to exist where you're going to be constantly told that there's something wrong with you? That you're a lesser person? That you need to be healed? Videos like this are examples of how things have changed and how they will continue to change for the better! There was a time in my life where you could be fired from a job for being gay. I know I've had it happened to me. How religion can turn its back on you. I know I've had it happen to me. Just how painful society can be to a person because they're different. I know it's happened to me. Not only does this video show in true fashion, the struggles of the youth of this planet but it shows just how much pain these words of hate and bigotry can lead you to want to take drastic measures! I know Tom well. I know that he has had his own struggles with religion and with acceptance of who he is! Let me tell you who Tom Goss is. He's a brilliant singer-songwriter with a heart that stretches far beyond what anyone could imagine. Not only does this video bring to light all of the things that I have mentioned, but it also has raised money and continues to raise money for one of the most important charities out there! The Trevor Project! I can't even fathom how many lives The Trevor Project has saved and how many lives this video may have saved on its own! I imagine if there's a young gay person out there that was struggling with who they are and they find this video as their scrolling through YouTube that it might help them in more ways than we could ever imagine.
Brainstorm (1983)
Compelling fascinating outstanding performances
The storyline was compelling and interesting. Quite fascinating. I could have done without the afterlife part of it, but other than that the movie was absolutely fantastic. And with a lineup of stars, this movie just went above and beyond. It's extremely unfortunate that this movie was almost not completed because of Natalie Wood's death during the time of filming. And it also led to the end of the directors career due to the decisions in using a alternate to fill in the last few parts for Natalie Wood using different camera angles and so forth. Louise Fletcher's part who passed away during the movie I could have done without the afterlife part of it. Other than that brilliantly done and shame shame shame on the studio for bringing action to end the career of the director! Simply because he put somebody in Natalie Wood's slot to finish this piece. I'm certainly glad that he had a clause in his contract that gave him carte blanche to be able to complete this film because it was very very interesting and I love the concept and the acting is just amazing but with a cast like this, how can you possibly go wrong?
Invasion Planet Earth (2019)
Seriously?
Oh, and this really should be in the beginning. The same movie is coming out with a different name in the same listings. What's up with that? I was reading reviews from the credits where they said it was fantastic. Suspenseful edge of your seat excitement I'm like. Did we watch the same movie? This thing was a hot mess! The visual effects are horrifying! There's only a couple of the actors that have any talent whatsoever. If it wasn't for Simon Haycock, this would be completely unwatchable, and it's not really his performance in this thing that makes it watchable it's the beautiful blue eyes. He's a good actor but not in this! And if it wasn't for the fact that he's gorgeous, this would be something that belonged in the nearest dumpster! This is definitely a dumpster fire from beginning to end seriously.
Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
Two and a half hours of boredom
Absolutely the worst movie to come out of the DC comic book era. The best part of the movie was during the credits. The rest of the movie was poorly written and just downright boring
