Puzzled by the ending

I really enjoyed watching this tv series. The plot and the characters were well portrayed - as were the emotions of the main characters. There was only one thing I was a little puzzled by at the end - which also happens to be the very end of the trial. An older gentleman walks in to the court house. He wears glasses and is holding a briefcase close to his chest. Could someone tell me who this person was. I really enjoyed watching this tv series. I was hoping for a better ending where even I could understand it. Could someone please explain this movie to me!!!

Disappointing ending

I have just watched this film and found the ending confusing and disappointing. Could vampinshape or acisclos tell me why they gave it 10/10. I do want to learn something.
