The Reef: Stalked (2022)

Inconsistent

Whilst the plot is weak, and the script very poor, I can't get over the thoughtlessness between the script and the associated actions on screen as an earlier reviewer has also pointed out. There seems to be an absence of realism in quite a few scene's. How one lady gets attacked twice and doesn't end up with a mark on her is quite extraordinary.... and when her friend gets attacked, there is once again no bite marks... Everytime we saw the boat it was in calm placid still water, everytime we saw the water with the shark, there was slightly choppy water and wave movement... It seems the "realism editor" (if there is such a thing, then they sure needed it on this movie) had the day off.

This feels like another vanity project, with a well worn plot that they actually still manage to mess up.... There is absolutely no depth to any of the Characters, so much so that you do not feel any empathy for anyone. Nothing is explained, and the story goes nowhere, and actively ignores what may have been interesting sub-plots....

The Legend of La Llorona (2022)

Really Disappointing

I was hoping for good things from this Film, but was left very disappointed. The acting came across as wooden and emotionless - almost acting by numbers! The dialogue at times was totally at odds with the scene being acted, the plot had holes in it, and there is then a real leap in the story/background to reveal the twist which was pretty evident right from the beginning of the film. Just very disappointing.

I like a good Horror, but this was just insipid... It seems to be set out as two separate stories neither of which go anywhere, and neither developed to anywhere it's full potential. A real let down considering that either "half" of this film could have been been worthwhile if the themes were explored properly.

Just really poor.... Bad acting, No dialogue to add any depth, editing poor and full of cliché's. So many "things" happen that are implausible that it makes it a frustrating film to watch.

I genuinely think this would have been a much better production if the Writer hadn't also taken the lead acting role - It would have been a lot believable and added more to the production if there had been another female lead. A failed actress writing, or a failed writer acting ... ?

I just felt it could have been so much more ... And i need to stay away from Productions where the writer is also a lead actor.

This is just an absolute waste of time.... it feels like a pet project that will only ever make sense to the writer of this nonsense. As people have pointed out, it raises questions, and they are right, it raises far too many questions with absolutely no answer to any of them, but the key question should be ... Why did they even bother making this. - it goes absolutely nowhere, and doesn't even provide food for thought as it cobbles what could be interesting plot lines together and then does nothing with them, but limp to an uninteresting and drawn out conclusion.

I don't enjoy slating movies just to slate them, but this film is BAD! The script seems to be cobbled together by kids at school, the acting is just dire, the background music doesn't flow, there are scenes that have absolutely no relevance to the film - almost time fillers, and the plot itself is all over the place.... I really am struggling to find anything redeeming in this film, it was just poor! Please do not believe any review over a 5, especially the review from someone who worked at the Production company giving it a 10 stating it should be the only film you watch this year... it should be avoided if you can.

Plot had some major holes in it, and the dialogue and expressions of all involved were bereft of any substance. At times the background music was so loud you could not make sense of what was said on screen.... Could have been so much more than it ended up being.

I get it that Movies have budgets, but this one just feels like the shoestring wasn't enough - as another reviewer has also remarked on. Dialogue was not great, with pauses where there should be none - editing not great either ... There was also no depth to any of the characters ... Just disappointing overall.

This movie has nor original thought, the plot line has used been used countless times and had so may holes in it. The acting was wooden with long pauses in the dialogue, and the "mood" noise used was similar to a smoke alarm going off - just irritating, like the rest of the production.

There is nothing redeeming about this at all... Plot holes, weak script, abrupt and quite rubbish ending. So much more could have been done with this, but it really does feel uninspired with no depth to any of the characters... Avoid if you can

This movie is so bad ... terrible dialogue, sketchy plot, very bad acting and seemingly no continuity in some of the scene's... and far too long. Avoid this film, and do not believe all the 10/10 ratings - they are clearly watching something else, or were actually involved in the film as a few of these reviewers have claimed! One reviewer claimed it was the best Zombie movie ever... Really!!! It still wouldn't be the best Zombie movie ever, even if there were no other Zombie films ever made.... Really Bad !

Not sure how this has got 10/10 and 8/10. There is nothing scary nor jumpy about this, and the Killers identity is very evident. The Plot is weak as is the dialogue. One reviewer claimed is was a Supernatural Slasher film - there is absolutely nothing supernatural in this. Just a run-of-the-mill slasher film with nothing new .... my true rating would be 3.5 as i am feeling generous

Please do not waste your time watching this... The film's plot is poor, the script is shocking,and the Lead actor's expression and voice do not change once - wooden ! Far too many scene's of nature - did not add anything but fill time... It just felt like a school project filmed with a bunch of strangers.

I am not sure i would trust any rating over 4 .... Really Poor !

This movie is a real stinker!! The lead actress seems to have one expression no matter the emotion she is trying to convey. The Script is poor and the plot has more holes than a sieve with no redeeming features, and it even manages to ignore what should have been a great foundation to build a good Horror/Thriller on...... Just very poor - do not waste your time.

I thought this was a shockingly poor movie. The dialogue was poor, and the acting was poor. The lead actress managed to get facial expressions and her dialogue to conflict with each other.... and i am not even going to comment on the weak attempt to model itself on "Strangers"..... Please don't waste your time watching this, it is just a really bad movie
