A lot better than expected
18 February 2022
I'm a huge horror movie fan and have been for a while. Going into this movie, I had no expectations. However, I was pleasantly surprised by this movie and think it's the best sequel than the original. If you are worried this is a cliche movie of "legacy character comes back years later to finally kill the bad guy", don't be, it's more.

P. S. Carnage candy galore!!!!

Top 3 Stephen King Movies Ever Made
11 February 2021
This film, you are either going to love it or hate it. It really takes place in one room, although there are flashbacks to Jessie's haunting pass. If you haven't seen it, I suggest any horror ad King fan go do that.

My Favorite Film Of All Time
11 February 2021
I feel like every reviewer should be able to give only one film a 10/10. If there are multiple, I feel like being a 10/10 isn't that high of a reward. That being said, I have absolutely no problem giving that honor to this film. This movie is a great balance of everything. Romance, horror, musical, drama, comedy... Just to name a few! If you haven't watched it, DO IT! Even if you don't like musicals, I suggest this movie to anyone.

Candyman (1992)

Gorgeous and interesting film
11 February 2021
Everything from the characters, acting, music, and directing is phenomenal in this movie. I am a very big horror fan and, while I don't particularly find Candyman to be a "scary" film, I find it to be haunting. Definitely holds up almost 30 years later.

An ok sequel to a movie that didn't need sequels (light spoilers)
11 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I think this sequel does a few things right. I like how it gives more of a backstory to Candyman, now know as Daniel Robitaille. I like the opening kill being the professor from the first movie (please note that aside from Candyman himself, this is really the only returning character). I also liked the ending. That said, the main character is a complete copy of Helen Lyle. Only now even MORE boring. TL:DR This is a boring movie with interesting elements in it.

Quick reviews of horror movies no one has ever seen
19 January 2021
I am a really big horror fan... Like REALLY big. I life the first ISoD because it covered so many movies I loved and have behind the scenes facts I didn't know... It's not as effective if I've only seen 4 or 5 of the movies in a 4 hour+ documentary. I can't imagine how a moderate horror movie fan could sit through this.

That said, I did like the documentary and do recommend it. It's kinda cool to see horror movies you haven't seen before reviewed and say "Hey, I should watch that."

I guessed the twist, but still enjoyed it
25 November 2020
From the opening 5 minutes, I guessed the twist of the movie. However, aside from that, the movie did a great job building tension and claustrophobia.

Strong start, rushed ending
20 October 2020
I've been a fan of John Carpenter's work and knew this was a must watch. The beginning of this movie was strong and mysterious. I really was on board and couldn't wait for the poor to be explored. However, it got a little repetitive and rushed in the second half. The ending is... not amazing. I mean, I'm not quite sure what happened. It's a fun watch and Kirstie Allie nails this movie, but a bitter taste is left in my mouth.

Why the bad reviews?!
6 October 2020
This show so far only has one episode and I love it. Granted I'm a teen and I feel like it's aimed at that, but I do really love this show!

I liked it AS much as the original
4 October 2020
Yes, I know a lot of people aren't fans of this movie. I am not one of those people. I liked this movie as much as the original. However, there is a reason for it. There is a nice twist that I didn't see coming that I LOVED. I also liked how Cole's parents were in this more and there were actually some emotional scenes... However, the dialogue is some of the weirdest and unnatural. Hell, sometimes even cringy. I'm also not a big fan on the ending... it feels out of place and out of character for some. If you liked the original, watch the sequel.

The Babysitter is a modern day Scream with an extra side of meta humor
29 September 2020
I remember when I first saw this movie, I was expecting it to be a forgetful movie but now I know how wrong I was. The character development, aside from Bella Thorne's character. This movie had great comedy and gore. Worth the watch.

My favorite video game by far!
24 September 2020
I am not a gamer whatsoever. I play here in there, but never "seriously". That being said, this may be the greatest game I've ever played. I laughed and cried so many times that I'd have to take breaks from playing it because I got so involved. That NEVER happens with me but the way this story is told is beautiful. If you haven't checked it out yet, this is a formal invitation to do so.

Can we get more Phantasm?
24 September 2020
If you were like me and worried that this movie would feel like an overly long episode of BTAS... Don't. Enough said.

The Worst Halloween Sequel
24 September 2020
I want to start by saying Halloween H20 is my favorite movie in the franchise... That being said, it is only NATURAL for me to not like this one. It retcons the ending and all the characters are bland. If you are thinking "How bad can it be?", my answer is "I'd rather have Myers stab me than watch this movie again".

Psycho II: A sequel that SHOULD be bad, but isn't
24 September 2020
A sequel to a classic 22 years later? Sounds like a recipe for disaster. However, I think Psycho II is a really good sequel. It follows Psycho but doesn't feel like a copycat at all. Worth the watch!

Because... I am smart. Poltergeist II: The Other Side
24 September 2020
I always thought this was an underrated sequel. Is it better than the original? Absolutely not. The ending of this movie is way too rushed and had awful pacing. However, I think this movie is SCARIER than it. If you liked the original, I definitely recommend. this.

Batman The Animated Series is Definitive
24 September 2020
Batman has always been my favorite superhero. However, even though I love the films, Burton's could be a little too quirky and Nolan's were a little too dark. The perfect mix come in the shape of this brilliant show. A must watch for any superhero fan.

I get a pit of rage in my stomach when I think of Pet Semetary 2019
23 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I was a huge fan of the original movie. As a matter of fact, it's my favorite Stephen King movie. I think the remake is also good, but there's one thing that I hate so much I refuse to like it.

They. Spoiled It. In. The. Bleeping. Trailer.

The twist that Ellie got hit instead of Gage was an AMAZING idea and definitely would have surprised audiences... But what person thought it was a good idea to spoil it in the trailer?

Please don't beat me up for this Summer Of '84 review
22 September 2020
This movie keeps you guessing from beginning to end who is really the killer. I wasn't even alive in the 80s and I got a beautiful sensation of nostalgia. However, my biggest complaint is the ending. I don't think the movie has a complete ending UNTIL a sequel finishes it. Definitely recommend.

Poltergeist 3: Bad, but watchable
22 September 2020
I love the first two movies and heard nothing but bad reviews for this and honestly it wasn't that bad. However, there are two big things I don't like. They ruin the character of Reverend Kane and the ending is terrible. I get they couldn't film the full ending because of O'Rourke's untimely death, but Reverend Kane shouldn't have come back. I think they should've had a totally new character instead of ruining an old one. However, Rubenstein and O'Rourke's portrayal of their characters were amazing and the mirror effects hold up to today's standard very well.
