Resident Evil (2022)
Trying to do something different
This series is trying to breath some life into a tired franchise and it does an okay job.
The games are great and the movies are mostly trash - the newest film included. This series juggles two timelines fairly well though it drags at times.
Most people seem to object to the high school age/storyline but aside from the show spending too much time on this period it works fine.
I like the acting and visuals. The show is more of a constant chase rather than survival horror. Given some time the reviews will even out despite being lambasted by the hardcore fans.
Barry: ronny/lily (2019)
People have terrible taste
This is the worst episode of the show. It's very surreal and doesn't fit with the overall series. I think that's the point but in a season where Barry has been acting very un -Barry like and makes silly mistakes just to further the plot, this episode stands out.
Reacher (2022)
Better than the movies
This isn't great. I haven't read the books so my only point of reference is the movies.
Alan Ritchson is good as Reacher except the character is annoying. He is constantly reminding people he's the smartest guy in the room. Guessing peoples habits by the suits they wear - he's a less likeable Sherlock Holmes.
The action is good. Ritchson is physical freak which the relies on heavily.
After the first two episodes it gets better.
Clean (2021)
Not great
It takes an hour to get to the revenge. There is a lot of unnecessary plot and introspection. When the action eventually starts it's okay.
Predictable, poorly written and it looks way too dark. I like Adrien Brody though.
Slice (2018)
Not bad in a good way
Imagine finding out you're bad at the thing you've always taken pride in being good at. Whoever directed this is a professional. Now they know their limits.
This movie is awful. The pacing is terrible. The plot is muddled. Who is the protagonist? Is it a revenge story or about a reluctant hero? Neither both aren't fleshed out in any real way.
It's not a fun, silly movie the critics didn't get it's just not well made. Too bad because I wanted Children's Hospital of Horror
IMDb Originals: 1-Star Reviews With John Cena (2020)
Great now more plz
More. Cena is self aware enough to know he has made a ton of tripe. This is way better than the "best interview" format with terrible props that actors very clearly hated
