The VelociPastor (2018)
Masterpiece from start to finish
Brendan Steere is a genius. Nothing else can be said. This movie has everything you would want. Action, drama, romance, a great twist. Please go watch this movie, you won't regret it.
The Flash: The Girl with the Red Lightning (2019)
Not bad but could've been better
On it's own this episode was pretty good, but it's placement in the season makes it not so. For a second to last episode it was pretty weak, but it wasn't terrible. The thing is the writers don't know how to write characters. Nora telling her parents that she's an adult and can make her own decisions, yet she still acts like a 12 year old. And when Ralph was figuring out Thawne's plan, everyone just ignored him, which they wouldn't have done if it was anyone else. Also, Cicada has to be the worst villain the flash has seen so far. Every time they battle s(he) just flies away. I sometime laugh because the writers can think of any other way for Cicada to escape. Like I said before this episode was entertaining enough to keep me watching, but as a second to last episode it was weak.
The Flash: Gone Rogue (2019)
And just like that, the flash is trash again
Are you kidding me CW? Really?! After giving us Nora with red lightning you give us this crap. Why can't you guys get your crap together and make a good season again (like season 1 and 2). I mean what happened? Does everything have to be about forgiving people and second chances? After last episode I was so excited to see Nora become evil, only to see that she tapped into the negative speed force to steal some gun and end up forgiving Barry. Because of that part the last two episodes are irrelevant and add nothing to the story. And what was the point of the rogues? They were so boring and unnecessary. The only thing good about this episode was Cisco and Sherloque. Also, why do you guys have to make Iris so unlikeable? Everything she says I just want to scream at her. She is the worst character in the show. And the villain this season has done nothing. He's (now she's) not scary nor causes tension when present. The only reason I'm finishing this season is because I've been invested in it since day one and I saw that we'll see Barry vs RF in the finale.
The Flash: Snow Pack (2019)
FINALLY THIS SEASON IS STARTING TO BE GREAT
I have to admit for me this season has been mediocre with some great episodes here and there. But these past couple of episodes have been fantastic. We finally get the see the negative speed force and Nora with red lightning (which looked awesome). Though I have to admit as much as I am hyped for what the show will bring with evil Nora, it feels like they put this in the show too late and i am afraid they might rush things to resolve the issue before the finale. The conflict between Barry and Iris (especially the opening scene) was great and I actually could feel the tension between the two. Even though the conflict got resolved in the end it was still emotional to see Barry and Iris argue in a way we have not seen in the show. Also the scenes with Caitlin and her family were fantastic, especially the battle scene between Icicle and Killer Frost. I wasn't expecting to see Cicada but I was pleasantly surprised. The acting this episode was phenomenal (especially between Iris and Barry). And as always Tom Kavanaugh has an excellent performance as Thawne and Sherloque. This episode was fantastic and I can't wait to see what they do with Nora in the final episodes.
Rating: 9.7/10
The Flash: Godspeed (2019)
A Little Disappointing Until the End
I gotta say going into this I was expecting to see Godspeed vs Flash, but at least we got to see him the show. I have mixed feeling about how they chose to portray Godspeed, but like I said before I'm just happy we got to see him. I didn't love Nora's mini origin story. They shouldn't have made it exactly like Barry Allen's. The story felt too similar and I would've liked to see Nora become XS in a more unique way compared to Barry becoming the Flash. I mean everything that happened from her waking up at the hospital with poker face playing to Thawne's speech was the exact experience Barry had. But then the last couple of scenes really bumped up my rating for this episode. Im glad Barry didn't cave into everyone saying "let's give her a chance" and actually stuck with his gut feeling and sent Nora back to her time. And his confrontation with Reverse Flash, man was that awesome. For a moment there I thought that maybe we would see the beginning of Thawne escaping (but that would've have made no sense given that early in the episode they established that there is no way he can escape). I hope this isn't the end of Thawne's life and he makes appearances in later seasons. Also could Barry's video message to Nora be from next years crossover? Cause if it is that would be interesting to see.
The Flash: Seeing Red (2019)
Good, but not great
Let me start by first saying this episode was far better than last weeks episode. But this episode was still pretty weak compared to the earlier episodes of the season. I feel like they switched writers after the mid season finale. I don't if it's just me but so far the back half of the season feels way different than the front half.
The good:
- cicada vs flash fight (the one where Barry almost killed cicada. I thought this battle was awesome. I loved seeing barry more powerful than ever and about to kill the main villain. Too bad Nora stopped him)
- sherloque investigating Nora (I love how sherloque keeps finding out more and more about Nora's secret every episode. And when we find out that her journal contains 2 different handwritings, one of the best parts of the episode.
- the fact that this episode actually involved the flash (unlike last weeks)
The bad:
- Nora stopping Barry from killing cicada (now this is probably an unpopular opinion but I fell like in that scene cicada should've been killed, which would then lead to the return of Reverse flash. But unfortunately we didn't get that result)
- the first cicada vs flash fight (I felt this battle went by way too quick. I didn't feel any suspense unlike the other battles in the episode)
- iris getting mad at sherloque for investigating nora (now this more of me hating on Iris and her terrible character than anything else. I mean cmon, her feeble attempts to scare sherloque were laughable)
- killer frost and Caitlin relationship (now this wasn't bad but I just didnt care for this storyline)
- WHERE WAS CISCO
This was a decent episode and I enjoyed it throughout, but it wasn't suspenful enough
7/10
The Flash: The Flash & the Furious (2019)
Disappointing
The mid season finale left me hyped for this episode and when I watched the promos that the cw released I got even more hyped. But after watchinf this episode it left me very disappointed. Besides the opening and ending scenes, the whole episode was filler (which is really weird to do after a mid season finale). And I don't like how the cw put out a promo for this episode with footage from e11 (which btw looks 100 times better than this crap). Anyways, I'm looking forward to seeing reverse flash again and I hope that the rest of the season is way better
